The Prince and cash flow

Nice little video from Tifo Football explaining the process

Thanks for that MB. After listening to that its clear the Prince is using the money to improve the Ladies changing facilities at Shirecliffe after his daughter recently complained :D.

A good summation though of how Football Clubs borrow money constantly to manage their ongoing finances. The fact 75% do it in the Prem and nearly all EFL Clubs do explains obtaining loans is a common practice and not an indication of a Club experiencing financial difficulties.

I thought that now programmes had gone up to £3.50 money wouldn't be an issue. 😂

Just a thought: In our case, if Moussett is typical of our dealings then we would have staggered our payments for all our transfers this summer. So any loans made would have to factor in the outstanding balances on those players. I don't know how much and when the Premier League money is paid out.

Somebody showed me a 'Pay Loan' leaflet recently. If the Prince needs a top-up at all. For a tad over 1400% APR he can get and extra £200 loan, no questions asked.

No it's not. The original was glisters. Glistens is a lazy modernism. And incorrect anyway.

Glisters means to sparkle. Another word for "glitters".

Glisten is a shine on something wet.
I am sure the Bard would be very proud of your correction and explanation.

We know he isn’t cash rich, we’ve just seen a court case triggered by the fact he didn’t have his half of 5 mill for the jan transfer window last season, however if anybody thought mcabe wouldn’t employ the same strategy had he won, think again..

So long as we stay up, it’s fine, go down and it’s devastation..

Again......

no, it indicates that we're already overspending on a current account basis.

That may be due to cash flow timing differences but it certainly doesn't give any indication that the manager will get any additional funds, and in my opinion (and it's only an opinion) it is more likely to indicate the opposite.
I think your opinion is a bit last century. Businesses borrow against future guaranteed income for short term cash flow.

But they can only spend it once whether it's now or later.

If they're spending it to make infrastructure improvements, as has been suggested, then I have no issues.

If on the other hand we're already spending more than we have coming in on operating costs then the future looks a lot less rosy.

Did you notice any new signings between Championship and Prem?

It's all what ifs but why would you think it's to cover losses with an income of up to £130m? That's over £100m extra costs from 2018.

Glistens. Fucking Glistens.

Once again our Sean Thornton nails it.
He's correct that is the old usage and it actually makes more sense.

Don't tell him though, in case it goes to his head.

Why what interest rate is it at?
What would the cost be of injecting his own money?
As a Muslim, from a wealthy Muslim country, i'm sure he would have no problem raising funds. The problem there is, Muslim money could have riders attached to it, concerning what it was used for and how it was spent.
This way it's a western loan to a western company and the details are transparent. The Prince keeps his personal funding out of club business, by following the example of other clubs in English football.
McCabe has put his own money into the club in the past, and look how that turned out.

Would be v unhappy if he’s using it to pay for shares or property assets - that’s basically what the Glazers did at MU, used the clubs money to fund their takeover.
