As pointed out on page 837 of the kit thread the badge is a design classic. Let's keep it!

I don't mind it if it's a one off.


If however it's a Trojan horse paving the way for a full rebranding in 2016-17....



Edit: and this 'design classic' has had some serious alterations to it over the years. I wouldn't be happy if went back to this for example

It isn't the new badge, it's the old badge

I like it for our "anniversary" shirt but I hope we go back to our normal badge after next season.

Our badge is the best in the league.
Really not keen on the new patch
The badge like be 70s shirts with the Sheffield coat of arms embroidered in it would have been great - but probably cost prohibitive.

Can understand a diff badge on this one but it looks a bit Velcro felt patch and cheap. Not worried about the shirt as is as it might sell well for casual wear and if it's for ONE season only to celebrate 125 years we can cope with that as long as the stripes return he season after (for the Prem return season )

On my phone so can't add in links etc but apparently the badge on the new shirt is a version of the oldest club badge they could find which changes my opinion of it.

I also wonder what would have happened if this forum had been around when the old new badge, you know the design classic one, was introduced. I thought the old badge was fussy and uninspiring.

I really liked the piratical undertones to the old new badge.

It's basically an Adidas version of this, although I can't find a picture of the original shirt that they are both based on
