The Kean Bryan thread

Hes fucking wank man being loaned out to Bolton tells you everything you need to know.

We lost 5 nil today with nobody covering themselves in glory, wilder has gone so like it or not all of the players have now thrown the towel in, what it needs now is the senior players to get their hands around the throats of the squad and say you play your heart out for the shirt the club and the fans and if you dont you're going to get a slap from me, the younger players are rudderless and need the senior players more than they need the manager at this point, so players like Bryan need direction

I think Bryan has been improving with each game he plays. Dropped a bollock against Chelsea but in general been growing into his role.

Today, like a lot of others, he had an absolute 'mare

So painfully out of his depth. Hard to watch that today. The main worry is we have a squad of complete dross when we inevitably lose our 3/4 good players in the summer.

Who's buying them in this climate? Do you think PA will let them go for peanuts like McCabe because I don't.

He'll want his money back, and some interest if possible, and if no-one offers it they won't be going, and would you be offering it after this season?

I think Berge will go, but that's my only definite, and I think he'd have gone anyway and Wilder would have accepted it.

I think Egan might go but after this season maybe not. His disciplinary record has took a bit this season.

Don't think any sensible person will be in for any of our strikers, and can't see who buys Ramsdale, 2 Prem relegations in consecutive seasons, not his fault but it surely puts people off a bit.

Had a shocker today but he’s improved a lot in recent weeks. Should never be in a position where he has to play more than the odd game in a season. Not ideal that he’s now required to play every week.

But of a Martin Crainie - decent when filling in but never going to be here long term.

He's better as a LWB, a serviceable LCB when there's not been a seismic event in the football club.

Honestly though, I think we'd have been better off playing him all season (if fit) than LCB musical chairs.

Bit of continuity, he's not JOC but he's got more of the same attributes than anyone else who's played there in his absence imo, and he's not a nutcase like Robinson who is one tackle away from a red at all times.

I can only assume he hasn't been fully fit but I do remember him having a decent match not that long ago then the following match he got dropped completely at LCB for Stevens. I think it was the game Stevens had come back from injury?

It has to be said the way the likes of Stevens and McBurnie just walked back into the starting 11 after injury this season was baffling. Especially when Osborn was doing alright at LWB and McBurnie has done nothing of note other than injure himself.

Am I making it up but I’m sure a caller on radio Sheffield said today that there’s been an article in the papers about kean Bryan.
Supposedly set to leave at the end of season and reject any contract offer united may make. Sure I heard that today on RS

Oh no, how tragic

osborn is our best lwb till rnd comes back why we persist with enda is unbelievable hes gone and will be back in league 1 soon its nearly as bad a decision as playing lundstram game after game when hes putting about 2% effort in

Would be extremely harsh to judge Kean Bryan in that one game amidst the shitstorm this week has been.

The danger is many players might feel like this and must dread facing fans when we finally return. I think a few will say they want a “fresh challenge”

Actually that might be true plenty of people saying we need to sell and clearout but not considering the number of players who will request a transfer to get out of the nightmare and want a clean slate.

Anyone witnessing Kean Bryan yesterday saw enough.

It may have been a collapse, but Bryan was woeful from the off - even in the fist half where there was a tiny threat of a match. He got caught out on the ball numerous times - he’s just not quick enough in thought.

Some of this may be linked to too little game time, but we really don’t need to take that risk.

Schalke are after him according to reluctantthicko

sorry what?
You watch the Bundesliga? The majority of teams aren’t that good at defending. This is backed up by how many of the defenders that were considered good in the Bundesliga that struggle a bit in the PL, like Socratis and Mustaphi and how many attacking players take a while to adapt to the PL, like Son and Firmino.
Bryan had a few games where he looked OK at PL level, is available on a free, is still young and had his development hampered a bit by injuries and we’re probably not offering him a big contract. It wouldn’t surprise me if Bundesliga clubs were looking at him as a value for money signing. I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of lower end PL clubs are considering him too. He’s got to be worth a punt on a free at, say, £20k a week. Burnley or somewhere, I could see him sticking his crosses on Woods’ head.

Add to that the fact Schalke arent a Bundesliga club either, they got relegated so they are recruiting for the second tier of German football. wouldn't say this is that strange

Not that odd tbf recently relegated so will be retooling plus they’ve picked up players from the UK in the recent past with bates and matondo. They paid 8 mill for matondo out of Man City’s academy spent time at stoke this last season and plays as winger if he’s available relatively cheap he’d be worth a look.

Yeah, Bundesliga 2 is, from what I’ve seen, (BT show some games) a lower standard than the championship. Despite watching them lose weekly, I’d forgotten they’d been relegated.

I always thought he had something and would come good. Perhaps not to be with our club, but I wish nothing but good condolences for him at what I know from experience is just about the biggest hurt and loss, - that of losing your mother. As an old sage once said to me, "anyone could be your dad, but you've only got one mum" RIP
