I like McBurnie but he is struggling his situation reminds me of Leon Brittain he was a great player, came from Swansea but got homesick could McB be suffering similar symptoms?
Homesick? He's from Leeds.

A new dick waving contest you say?!
No chance. I don't disagree with the concept of bringing in Freeman, but not for the lad who knitted it all together last season. When you play a man behind the strikers you need someone who can dictate the pace of the game behind him, Lundstram cannot do that, as good as he's been in his box to box role this season.I wonder whether we need to be a bit more attacking at home? I know its hard to change a system thats worked very well overall so far but it we can take 3 points on Saturday we will be very well positioned.
I'd be tempted to play 2 up front and bring Freeman in for Norwood. I'd go with Moose and Sharp as the front 2 with Norwood, Didzy and Robinson on the bench. However I dont think theres any chance of that happening and fully expect to see the same 11 as at West Ham with the only likely change of someone coming in for Robinson
My sheep, I think you mean.....If he's missing the sheep that much he's only 10 mins from the Peak District.
This be true baaaaaaaaIf he's missing the sheep that much he's only 10 mins from the Peak District.
Baldock & Didzy?
Yeah well my source is Prince Abdullah
Collins Morris my source is closer than yours by quite a distance. Staff meeting this morning, two doubts for the game Saturday, name them or are you guessing on everything you write? I'll give you 20 minutes to get it right or make it up!
He’d have to catch the 272 thoughIf he's missing the sheep that much he's only 10 mins from the Peak District.
Weve played it most games this season and sit 8th in the league. The next time McGoldrick picks up any kind of knock I really hope Wilder looks at Luke Freeman as his replacement.
An out & out front two with the flat three doesn't seem to work for us. I'd really like to see what Freeman has to offer in there behind Sharp / Mousset / McBurnie when the chance arises.
Lads, please can you stop with the inside info. All this talk of starting 11s, who is fit/injured/what comes out of staff meetings can only be a bad thing for the club. Without being a twat about it and getting into debates, I’m just asking please stop it.
Really? This forum is totally irrelevant to Burnley's management. Do you think Wilder and Knill are avidly following a Burnley forum for insider info?Lads, please can you stop with the inside info. Can’t be arsed pal, I’ll just leave people to itReally? This forum is totally irrelevant to Burnley's management. Do you think Wilder and Knill are avidly following a Burnley forum for insider info?
People really need to get real.

Why change what's clearly working?

Mcgoldrick is our most important attacking player.Without McGoldrick (a link man) we've struggled to get forward & have controlled attacks. I think we go too direct when we play with 2 forwards as the gap between the lines is too big.
Hence, if McGoldrick picks up a knock I'd like to see us play one up, with Freeman in behind & encourage our midfield to attack the box more. I think this would suit our style more.
Very winnable? On the whole the results have been very good with the flat three in midfield but it seems to work best against the better sides.
If we’d been more attacking against Southampton and Watford we could easily be sat on an extra three points. We played well in those matches but didn’t create many clear cut chances and that has got to improve against the poorer sides which will be more defensive, especially at the Lane.
Burnley at home is a very winnable match and we should be taking the game to them, so why wouldn’t we start with an attacking line up? E.g the formation and style of play which has brought us great success in the 3+ years Wilder has been manager.

After reading a lot of shite this past week, I'm glad someone else agrees.
Agree with that. However, and I know this sounds childish, when I am in the pub before the match I like to find out the team an hour before kick off so we can have a discussion/moan over a couple more points. It slightly spoils the match day experience for me if I stumble across someone naming the team the day before.Really? This forum is totally irrelevant to Burnley's management. Agreed, Burnley look very dangerous on the counter as they play direct (not long ball, just they move towards the goal at pace with no thought of tippy tappying it about), just the style we struggle against defensively.
Very winnable?
Burnley have been doing what we have this year but for a number of seasons.
They won't come and be lacking in effort or taking the win for granted.
They will come with knowledge of how to unsettle us in a match where we are probably evens to win if not better.
What we do need is to get Mousset fit and out there where his athleticism and pace could be a differentiator.
They are tough as teek up front but not so mobile. I think this is where we could win out but it will be a tight game between two well organised teams.
A win against Burnley would impress me the most of all the games this season.
Well my source tells me that Wood won't be fit, Barnes isn't fully fit and they'll be pinning all their hopes of scoring on Rodrigues who hardly ran us ragged last season.Collins Morris my source is closer than yours by quite a distance.
