I thought Hussey was poor, certainly no better than Bob Harris, Duffy misplaced a lot of passes and didn't particularly impress and Basham was awful, he isn't a good enough footballer to play in midfield and should be in the back four where his poor touch is less of a liability. Thought O'Connell, Wilson and Brayford played well generally, but the whole defence seemed to freeze for both goals and watched as Lowe pounced on the second ball.

On that showing we'd better hope that Adams transfer fee is available because we desperately need to improve the midfield.

We've needed to improve the midfield for 2 years and we haven't bothered.

I'm worried about this team. It isn't very good.

Surely all is rosy. After all pigs and Rotherham also lost to league 2 sides tonight.
So yeah..we only lost by a single goal. Quite a good team Crewe you know. They saw it as a cup final we are such a big club.

No we're not. Not anymore.

DCL had a shocker. Think Wilder thought the game was won and just used the sub to run some time down. Scougall offered little, but perhaps more than he did at Bolton. McNulty looked bright when he first came on but faded in extra time.

Fleck was motm by a country mile. Clarke outshone Sharp, Duffy again showed some good potential but disappeared from time to time. Done wasn't shocking but clearly a square peg in a round hole. Basham adds height but little else. Will need to see the defenders a bit more before judgement is passed., They've barely played together and they do need a little time to gel.

We need a couple of players on the bench who can change a game. Some pace and height/strength.

Transfer window shopping list for me is 1) Midfield man mountain who can take the game by the scruff of the neck 2) Pacey winger that can cross, 3) some impact players that maybe aren't quite good enough to deserve a start but offer something different .

No we don't! Once they find where the bloody net is, we will get better.
I agree, unfortunately we couldn't hit a barn door yesterday. Watching the players practice shots in the corner between the Kop and the main stand before the match, I remember thinking we'd be in for a long night. I remember Billy hit a shot that was closer to the actual net than the mobile one they practice with. The rest seemed to go wide or straight at the keeper. In hindsight, that should have been sign to bail!

The general rule on here is, if we lose we are shite, the managers shite, the substitutions were `baffling`, & its all McCabes fault.

If Calvert-Lewin rolls in his great chance, that would have changed to `well done Tufty`, `Up & running`, & `So much better than under Adkins`

Fine margins eh

I follow utd so I must be stupid!

Its all abahrt opinions. Weve had Scougs poor, Scougs played well. Done poor, Done did well.Basham poor, Really like Basham. Clarke better than Sharpe (really?). Duffy did well, Duffy in and out.

You really need to watch the game to make your own mind up cos this site don't help
