It's great when we have a full squad of fit players, knocking the ball about at pace and forcing the opposition back on the way to dishing out a thrashing. We've shown that we're capable of doing that and when we do, we're all rightly buzzing. Problem is for a club like us, without massive funding those performances will be the exception and not the rule. We'll have injuries, squad players, young 'uns and God knows what having to fill in but you know what? That's what makes us special. We're playing with a squad decimated by injuries to key players, we've got kids learning the game as they go and we even have the handicap of the points deduction.

So what do we do? Turn in performances like that one today. After a disappointing last few games, and with big players still missing we go away to a decent club at home and we battle like absolute fuck. O'hare never stops running, and plays some astute passes if you watch him. Gus is a lovely footballer if you keep him involved, Davies is another driving force in the middle but today, and this lad has had his detractors, Sydie Peck was a fucking man mountain. Whether he's knackered or not, his will to win today was as Bladey as it gets. Old school, in your face, don't fuck with me I'm Sydie, nice to meet you 👊👊

We rode our luck at times, we battled when we had to and was it perfect? You tell me, classic away performance and we came away with the points. Doesn't get much better than that.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

Given that Watford had only just lost their home record before we played them, to a team they are expected to beat (Cardiff), in a similar way to how Sunderland lost to Stoke before they played us.

That is a big 3 points, or 6 points off of a top six team.

I don’t think anyone strives for perfection, we all know our shortcomings. The last couple of performances before today have highlighted the weaknesses we have, they were still apparent today, the difference being that Cooper saved the major fuck up from the left side of our defence and we scored 2 good goals up the other end.

With One up front we’ve done well to score 2 and that’s no criticism of the lad, he’s clearly just there as a body in an injury ravaged squad.

No one has an issue doing what we’ve done today but with 5 or 6 bodies back and some players signed it should be a hell of a lot better.
