Reported as such, extensively, in the mediaWhat makes anyone think that he was a target for us?
Always find it amusing that when there’s a suggestion we want a player certain folk are talking the player up…then when that player inevitably goes elsewhere they then play him down and question if we were ever in for him in the first place.
Like it’s hard to accept players would choose others over us.
I find it hard to believe anyone would choose anyone over us. It's probably the prem intimidating them into going else where. Everyone has it out for usAlways find it amusing that when there’s a suggestion we want a player certain folk are talking the player up…then when that player inevitably goes elsewhere they then play him down and question if we were ever in for him in the first place.

It's all about the Benjamins, baby
The problem is players want to live in London, it’s just a fact of life and unless you’re one of the two Manchester clubs or Liverpool, you are always going to struggle to attract players to come and play their football in the north. Here we go

But not moneyMoney talks but to go from Arsenal to Burnley is a shocker. If I were him we’d have been the more attractive proposition in terms of location, crowds and atmosphere and stadium.
You are joking, right?Money talks but to go from Arsenal to Burnley is a shocker. If I were him we’d have been the more attractive proposition in terms of location, crowds and atmosphere and stadium.
It could be far more simple than this. You are joking, right?
Going to a club who have spent the last however many years in the EPL with recognisable players, high wages, top notch training facilities, a famous manager and a short hop from Manchester? Being able to live near world class players?
Or is?
But not THE Money or a manager many regarded as one of the best in his positionMoney talks but to go from Arsenal to Burnley is a shocker. If I were him we’d have been the more attractive proposition in terms of location, crowds and atmosphere and stadium.
I think people are struggling to understand this.It could be far more simple than this.
Burnley have just lost Tarkowski and Mee.
We still have Basham, Egan and Robinson, the latter being left footed.
It's easier to get into their team.
Exactly. It's not just a simple proposition. The overall package of just out of PL and having obvious vacancy is an attractive one.I think people are struggling to understand this.
Also, I’m sure Kompany would be attractive for any young defender to learn from.
Finally, like it or not, Burnley have been a Premier League side for much of this lad’s life. He’ll probably see them as a bigger draw than us.
Maybe our plan A choices are still there. We don’t know that the club were after either of these two.So what now? Do we just sign nobody or go for our plan E choices? Like Wilder got maligned for when the club couldn't secure his first, second, third or fourth choice targets and we signed dross like Burke.
We may just be throwing money at shit again at this point, if we truly had all these players we've "missed out on" as targets.
