Bettis:

• Hectic 2 months with takeover and future plans
• New owners very supportive of the team
• Bettis thinks it’s been a very active and forward thinking window
• 2 forrins show different ideas of the new owners
• New owners keen to give Wilder his 4 identified players in certain positions - BBD (specific target), Hamza (DM), Clark (RB), Holding (CB)
• Cannon was a bonus purchase based on form and availability but Wilder was consulted and wanted him
• Process to identify forrins goes back to owners and a data driven approach, historically we were weak in this area, we now have a partner and have contacted any clubs of players identified around value and if we saw value we moved forward, hence the 2 signings today
• Ambition of owners is to sustain the club in the PL
• Won’t be £100m’s to throw at it but we will try and do it smartly using this type of approach
• Owners wanted to get Wilder signed on a longer deal so all are happy with this
• Bettis is tired and wants to go home to bed but he might not sleep because his head is spinning
