Freeman L (best crosser)
Sharp
McBurnie (best duo aerial threat)

Henderson
Basham Egan O’Connell
Baldock Norwood Fleck Stevens
McGoldrick
Robinson McBurnie

Moore, Jagielka, Osborne, Besic, Freeman, Sharp, Lundstram (Mousset or Morrison when fit)

Think he played only second half as hes been playing catch up pre-season for fitness and lacked some game time from the earlier games.
Nah he played whole first half and then some of 2nd half also

Surely Mousset has to come on at some stage in the game - even if it's only to score just one goal against his former team.

Henderson
Bash, Egan, JOC

Besic

Fleck Norwood

Robinson McBurnie

I'd go with defensive mid vs Bournemouth. Try to cut out service to Wilson and King

If Sharp doesn't start up front with Robinson it'll be a bit of a slap in the face. He's had a great pre season, they've linked up well together, and his goalscoring record from last season is hardly shabby - he's our Captain and looks fitter than ever. I'll be disappointed to see him on the bench particularly as Oli has only been here for a few weeks.

Subs: Moore, Jagielka, Osborn, Besic, L.Freeman, Mousset, Sharp

On final thoughts, I'd stick McBurnie in for his debut. He's had a good pre season and is ready. We could do with the aerial outlet he offers and the ability to win the ball.
You’ve spent Sharp wrong mate

I think Wilder will go with;

--------------Hendo---------------
----Bash----Egan----JOC-------
Baldock-----Lundstram-----Stevens
-------Norwood-----Fleck-----------
----------Sharp------Robinson-----

-----
Subs

Verrips
Jags
Osborn
Morrison
L. Freeman
McGoldrick
McBurnie

Must be a nightmare for Eddie Howe to pick his team when nobody has a clue what ours will look like.

I think Moore will still be on the bench. Verrips, if he is to be second choice, will need a bit of time to settle in and learn how we play

It will be.

A keeper needs to command, save and distribute.

Don't think he needs to know how we play at all.

I think the fact the OP accidentally used 12 players either shows how much help we think we are going to need or how many options we have and how tough it's going to be to narrow down a starting lineup.

Bring on:

Nailed it pal.

Didzy a more known commodity in the CAM role.

Sharp and Robinson stand out forwards from pre-season.

McBurnie too late through the door to be an assured starter first game out.

Besic or Ravel off the bench depending on match situation.

Against the better teams away from home I'd be more inclined to have 4 at the back

There's just no way Fleck, the last member of the holy trinity, isn't starting. More chance of Sharp being dropped than him.

I just think that by having a more solid midfield against the top sides would benefit us

Besic
Norwood
Morrison

The flair of Morrison and the passing of Norwood in addition to the aggression of Besic means Fleck could be sitting on the bench for some of these very tricky games.

4-3-1-2 or even 4-3-2-1 would be a more sensible formation without being too defensive and mean losing all out attacking intent.

But hey ho, it's not for me to pick the team :)

This game will have bee targeted as a game to go for a(three) point(s), so I would expect a balance between attack and defence:

........................................Henderson..................................
........Bash...........................Egan........................JOC...........
Baldock.............Norwood.............Fleck............Stevens
...........................................Didsy.........................................
........Sharp/McBurnie.............Robinson.....................

Though I think once the squad has trained a bit, for most away matches our team will be more

......Bash.....................Egan.............................JOC.....

Can’t see Billy starting but I may be wrong. Pay £20m for a number 9 and not play him?

Hendo
Bash Egan. JOC
Norwood
Baldock. Fleck. Enda
Robinson
Sharp McBurnie

and yes , Robinson can play the number 10 role as he often did at Preston to great effect .

Bournemouth were shit defensively last season and I can't see them being any better this one . We need to play on that and get about 'em big style . This team is capable of doing just that .

I haven't got a clue, but I have a funny feeling CW might play it a bit cagey at first and see how it goes before he uses our organised chaos method. BTW not quite the same as the rhythm method. :)

Don't think he needs to know how we play at all.

Disagree. Keepers are involved in tactics as much as outfield players these days. They will practice quick release to specific areas, long kicks to players running into space, and will be told when to play it short and when to play it long. They also need to be aware of what the opposition might do for corners and free kicks, and learn any tricks they may try to pull. Communication with the defence is very important. I'd be uneasy sticking in a foreign keeper who we only signed yesterday.

Academic anyway, as Hendo will be between the sticks.
