Not the answer I was looking for - and I should have mentioned the Prize is a place up front alongside Ched next week Vs Reading
So more of a punishment then?![]()

Coffee? A drink fit for Americans, women and southerners. Tea is the drink of proper northern men.

Hmm was Stead the only one who didn't actively want to move to another club?
sorry bob, i remember blades on sky few months after beattie left for stoke n pundit asked him about his fast move, beattie sounded pissed and said he never wanted to go, he was happy at the blades
If he had have been happy why not stay and help must us climb the table rather than constantly pushing for a new contract. We could of discussed the deal in the summer as he knew only too well we wouldn't be able to extend his contract on the existing terms never mind the terms he wanted.sorry bob, i remember blades on sky few months after beattie left for stoke n pundit asked him about his fast move, beattie sounded pissed and said he never wanted to go, he was happy at the blades
Isn't it also an indictment that they are funded way beyond what they would be able to afford if they didn't have a benefactor covering the losses. It is an indictment on the idiocy of our recent transfer policy that the unbeaten QPR team contains three players who we have sold in the last three seasons. A fourth, Derry, was of course also sold on McCabe's watch.
I'm not ignoring it, I acknowledge it and agree that it is accurate. We don't have a benefactor so we need to live within our means. Why can't people get it into their heads that we can't afford to pay massive wages while our crowds are sub 25,000.
I have addressed this in another thread, so in brief: I understand this point. What you always ignore when you make it is that no team in the division can afford it. Most of them were subsidised by a benefactor. Ours has given up, having frittered away a good financial position we had in the summer of 2007, and it will cost us a place in this league.
