We've let Blacker and Baptiste go out but the likes of Marsh, Faxon, Sausnauskas, Buyabu, Curtis, Hampson and I guess One are still here.

Nope. They can be loaned to non-league and that's it, I believe.

Some of those players need men's football and will not develop in the U-21s.

Of course they do but I’m guessing/saying they need to make sure they have a competitive team in the development league.

I think most you mentioned have had loans last season or the season before or even played in the first team.

I'm pretty sure there's really no need to have a particularly competitive team in the development league! We normally end up playing U-18s to stretch them!

Oh I don’t about that. They are a competitive bunch who want to win it

I guess a couple will get youth loans but Buyabu is 22, Marsh 21, for example and they've both had league loans previously. Must be reaching crucial decision point.

Think this policy needs looking at, it's not good for the player nor the club

Surprised a couple didn't head out on loan. Ive counted we have 35 players with squad numbers and obviously only 20 in a match day squad.

Add Faxon, Nwachukwu, and Hampson to that list. Nils potentially as well given the influx of CBs. Not a youth, but I'd also be surprised to see Shackleton make the matchday squad at any point this season (let alone get minutes). Really surprised not to see more loans and departures.

It's only 4 months until January window opens, in fairness, so deals like this could be lined up.

I think a loan to Netherlands could be ideal for Marsh.

With the huge pressure on our manager, it almost makes sense for them (and potential new manager) to have a lot of players to choose from.

It just seems indicative of how the football side of the club is run now. Owners will probably ask Bettis in a month or so why we have such a huge squad and he will say, well Chris and Alan used to sort out loans for the younger players to get some proper experience. Oh! Reuben didn’t tell us about that, get it sorted. Er…….can’t and Reuben doesn’t know anyone anyway.
