Des Taylor has had a lot of influence with recruitment I presume ? , the normal window under pa would have seen a lot more players sold ( not for cheap! That's the one thing he's always dug his heels in with)
My one thought though is, is CW on shaky ground ? will des Taylor having given them his thoughts on the coaching team and a recommendation to replace them ?
Des Taylor not allowed as not an employee. Be careful speculating on that.

Haven’t we already turned down £15m for him…

There’s no way he’s going for for £12, more likely £16m with substantial add ons.

I'll bet he's classed as a consultant, if you're spending 100m on a business sometimes the new buyers insist on having a representative that has access to all areas of the business to ensure there's nothing hidden

Bit in paper from an hour or so ago (have to use google translate)

Interesting parts are that we want 15 mill Euros, Fener only want to pay 12.5 mill Euros and the clubs are using Salhattin Baki to negotiate the deal.

Also once Fener have their required incomings they will let Ryan Kent leave

(arent we after a LW'er..)

"€15 million is being demanded for Brazilian front libero Vinicius Souza, who plays for Championship side Sheffield United. The English club has no intention of selling the 25-year-old, who bought it from Belgian side Lommel for €12.5 million last year, without making a profit. The yellow navy blues, on the other hand, are trying to reduce the figure by bringing in former manager Selahattin Baki, who is part of Sheffield United's transfer committee"

Surely that’s a conflict of interests if he’s part of our transfer committee and they’re trying to use him to reduce the asking price.

Just tell them to pay up or fuck off and stop with the silly games so we can get on with planning the squad for the rest of the season

All seems like an effort to try and unsettle him and get him to try and force the move.

It'll go to deadline day and we're only hurting ourselves by insisting on an unwarranted profit

We need him gone ASAP so we have the maximum time to reinvest

Hopefully Sela makes us see sense

Especially when it's only a difference of 2.5 mill euros.

Think a deal will get done tbh and he'll be on his way.

I think he's a player with a really good skill set for this level. The issue is his lack of discipline and tendency to go wandering out of possession. When we're playing two in the middle it leaves us totally exposed.

Wonder if his fee would allow Grimes and Cannon on perms with the Anel dosh going on a top right back

He's immobile
Completely unprogressive with his passing
Will never break a line by running with the ball
Positionally highly suspect
ill disciplined and erratic

He looks like someone, with his technique and physique, who should have the attributes, but he doesn't. Even the significant step down in standard isn't bringing out better in any of the things I listed

Let someone else occupy themselves with bringing out the mytical Fabinho within him

Has there been any reports that he actually wants to go? Anything to say he would even be interested in the fenerbahce?

Personally I can't really see the appeal of playing in Turkey!

Turkey would suit him well

Certainly much better than any of the elite leagues

Fener would be a great move for him

Istanbul is one of the world’s great cities mate. Lovely weather, amazing airport (cough), beautiful women, stunning food. If you were a wealthy 24 year old footballer you’d absolutely love it out there. Plus I assume better chances of playing in Europe etc.

I can definitely see the appeal. A bit like going to rangers or Celtic except you don’t have to live in Glasgow.

Anyone think we should try and get Tommy Doyle if souza goes, not getting much playing time at wolves. Yesterday wolves were the 1st team to play a full none English side

We couldn’t afford him last time as a newly prompted premier league side so i struggle to see how we could afford him now unless it was a subsidised loan.

He would not take a contract where we had a 40-50% relegation reduction clause which we mandated for our new signings so he was not affordable to us with a relegation likely

i actually think he would be interested in coming back to the lane it was his decision not to accept the 40% salary cut with relegation although never say never loan with a view to buy maybe a possibility depends how much of his salary wolves are prepared to fund mind sounds a good fit arblaster and doyle as the 2

Agree! The best city I’ve visited hands down. Magical place.

Part of me hopes we tell Fenerbache to piss off just to annoy Mourinho.

Used to think he was a genius in his earlier years of management but he became increasingly like a mardy little baby culminating in that pathetic behaviour after the Europe league final. If they want him, pay the fee. They have the money from this sale to Brighton.

Trouble is the turkish window is open to September 15th We could lose him and not be able to replace him

Fene about to receive 25m from Brighton for Ferdi Kadioglu. I think he's a full back though.

Brighton finalising record move for Kadioglu

Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:
Brighton are putting the finishing touches to Ferdi Kadioglu’s move from Fenerbahce today.
We understand it will be a Turkish transfer record. The current record is the £25.3m (€30m) Bayern Munich paid Galatasaray for Sacha Boey last January.
It will certainly be by far the biggest sale in Fenerbahce’s history, Sky Sports News has been told
Their record sale currently stands at £17.7m (€21m) received for Vedat Muriqi’s sale to Lazio in 2022.

Brighton have just gone from Edward Norton to Brad Pitt overnight haven’t they?!

The idea that Selhatin Baki is brokering the deal is surely idle speculation, he's not connected to our owners anymore.
