That tackle on Smith ( I think?)

Fair play to the pig for shaking that off without any fuss!

Had it been nil nil, or even the unthinkable, Smith would have been rolling around all over the shop. As it was we were winning, the tackle was a thing of monstrous beauty and the Pigs went oinking all the way home.

Sign him. Fucking sign him. If we have ANY budget in January throw it at Leicester for this lad. Absolute colossus today. Last 10 minutes every long hoof they played was just thumped back at them off his head. What a performance, what a player.
He's the massive shithouse centre half we've needed for several seasons now. I was delighted when we signed him and he's been even better than I expected.

Not disagreeing with people, but how many teams in the PL, if we get back there, will be pumping up balls like the swine today?

Do get your point but I think the thing that has impressed me most is how calm and collected he is when the ball isn't up in the air.

I think in reality, there's not many better players we could afford who would let us at least scrap it in the PL.

Get your point about PL not booting it long but how many goals did we give away last season from high balls into the box? Forest away got 0 points instead of 1), 2 goals in injury time at Spurs (got 0 points instead of 3)Villa away (got 1 point instead of 3) all come to mind and I bet others will be able to add to that list. In addition he reads the game so well. Our defence has not lokked this good since the 2019 promotion and then year one in EPL with Bash, Egan and JOC.

Totally irrelevant- for once we are on a good run of games and coming out on top.

Not playing amazing but because of this defence -hard to beat, then get a goal and we win.

In this league where we are now Souttar has been absolutely fucking amazing. His performance today was just so so enjoyable. For many years we have looked susceptible to long throws and hoofs into the box, but right now him and Anel are just eating it up. Cigar in one hand each - just bossing it.

Worry about the Prem if we get there, but right now even if he's not our player he's playing out of his socks for US. 9/10 today and for a centre back thats a terrific score.

All signings in summer have been pretty good but he's the best - can't wait to see his next outing -brilliant Soutts just brilliant.

I'm generally a nervous, pessimistic fucker when it comes to football. Can't relax untill the final whistle especially in a game as big as this.

I knew we had one following THAT tackle.

If the takeover happens I would look to make this permanent in January and free up a loan spot.

Should be the first signing in the summer - a colossus - wins everything, can play a bit too and does all the ugly stuff which allows Anel to be a better player and not get caught up in a pushing shoving match

Agree should be first signing in Jan. only worry is whether now he is playing so well other clubs inc PL clubs with more resources may fancy him as well and outbid us.

That was up there with the Jack O'Connell at home to Brentford and John Egan against Everton performances.

Absolutely commanding at the back.
Won everything in the air. Superb.

what worries me is Leicester might realise what a monster he is and hed be better than whats getting beat reguarly
they may realise the bollock theyve dropped

hes the best at what he does since Chris Morgan

I love the guy. Did the grunters do any prep for the game at all, I wonder?

Lumping endless balls into an area where Souts is most comfortable. I found it bizarre. Even at the rubbish level I played at, if we were up against a giant centre-half, we got the ball on the deck and tried to get around the back of them. They didn't seem to have a plan A or B when going forward.

Get the cheque book out in Jan and get in signed. Love him.

That was Smith's hardest opposition defender he'll face all season. I bet he's glad that one is out of the way.... until the next time 😂

Souttar=immense.

We should be making him the first signing and I'm sure we are already exploring that, but whatever his market value was when he first joined us, it's sure to have risen since then.

Wouldn’t that be a waste of budget?

We’ve got him for the season anyway.

I’d personally rather we further improve the squad and then all being well, he could become the first signing of the summer if we get over the line.

Plenty to play before we get carried away. We’ll be facing a new manager at their home in the next game too in all likelihood.

we need Leicester to stay up

they come down and hes proven to be a beast, they stay up and they can sign a £30m defender or 2.

Hes just our type of player, no fancy Dan stuff, gets stuck in and where he could have dangled a leg or shepherd him to the byline, he fuckin smashed him into next week whilst winning the ball, got the crowd going and dont think Smith fancied it after that, went very quiet

Yeah but the good news is it'll probably be Frank Lampard
