I don't mean he will need a rest from the flight. He hasn't played more than 20 club games in a season for 4 years, so I expect his relentless schedule will start to catch up with him soon
We'll need him against Coventry but I'd give him a rest for the Oxford midweek game. Anel and Robbo should be fine

He would be my number 1 target in the summer for a permanent transfer. Whatever division we are in. He is pivotal to our rock solid defence and it's one of those where if you get him he's going to be a major player for us for years as he's unfashionable but very very effective. Would love him at the heart of United's defence for years to come.

I remember some on here saying that those of us who wanted any out and out stopper were living in the past. Well look what happens when we finally get a no nonsense stopper who can kick and head it clear all day long does for us. Unfashionable but very effective. Bit like United really.

There's no doubt he's a monster in the Championship, easily one of the best centre backs but does he have the pace and athleticism for the Premier league? I'm not sure but it does seem strange how his club Leicester seem to have quickly written him off as not good enough for the PL.

He's an Aberdeen lad, same as Paul Coutts and when he joined he said his friend, Coutts had sold the club to him, so he had no doubts about joining us. His transfer has gone better than he could have imagined with our fans taking him to our hearts. He's everything we like in a player. Hope he stays.

Leicester surely would want a good chunk of the £15m was it that they paid Stoke for him? Plus I imagine his wages will be high. No chance whatsoever we can sign him on a permanent deal unless we are promoted.

Thanks for pointing that out
Any more startling revelations ?

Wonder why his brother has never been called up?
Possibly cos Scotland cane first?
We were close to signing him from Hearts before Rangers came in
Harry chose Australia over Scotland because he became impatient with not being in the Scotland squad. It caused quite a furore up there, and a lot of Scottish fans hate him for it, considering him a Judas.

He didn't have too much to do vs Saudi Arabia tbh. Was a shit game so can't imagine him coming back too tired. Still one more game to go of course!

Skippy the bush kangaroo season finale with a extra 10 minutes

Two Saudis playing for beerschot. Wonder how that came about 😉
Beerschot rock bottom, though picked up a bit lately. Châteauroux the Prince offloaded but they are also bottom!

I’d be all over Anel for a new contract also

Souttar & Anel is the best centre back pairing we have ever had and both would be comfortable mid table prem CBS no bother

Get Anel a new deal should be top priority I assume his contract runs out this summer with a +1 🤷‍♂️

Souttar has made his feelings very clear. He is enjoying his football, and he fits in so well with the others at the club. I hope we buy him in the summer. It’s a no brainer really. Nice bloke, he fits in well and he is already a fan favourite.
As it happens, he’s a pretty good footballer and a cracking good defender. He is with us for the season anyway. He has already made himself popular here for all the right reasons.

He is happy here, and he will get better if we are promoted, please don’t let him go back at the end of his loan.

I might be speaking too soon here, but I actually think he’s better than John Egan was. I think Egan benefited tremendously from being in that 3 pairing. Souttar seems a bit more switched on, to me, so far.

I can't see anything happening in January and we could only afford him if we went up. If Leicester stay up they probably wouldn't want to sell him to us either!

Better than Eddie and John?

Egan was a great servant but Souttar has made such a quick impact. He’s been impeccable, absolutely outstanding. A managers dream.

John Egan did it for years for us. I hope Harry S can be around long enough to do the same.

Spot on… without takeover or promotion we will not be able to afford him. Plus we have to hope that Leicester are in a different league to us next season!

Not really sure you have to reiterate what a thousand negative posters have already said ( that is pretty fucking self explanatory anyway) and then added on a totally irrelevant claim

IF we get promoted he's the first name on the shopping list. Setting up with Cooper, Souttar and Anel would give us a defensive foundation that MIGHT just give us a glimmer of hope.

I'd still be tempted to have a punt at making it permanent in January if funds are available. I know we need more up front but a 3rd of the way through the season, we've still won more games than any other side with what we've got. Souttar is an outstanding defender, though I wish he'd chip in with a couple more goals from set pieces given how dominant he is in the air.

Also, I absolutely loved watching him bully Smith in the derby. Man vs Boy that was.

The 20 year old Saudi forward they’ve got has bagged 4 goals in the last 4 hasn’t he? Worth a look 👀
