Australia will take on China PR at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide on Thursday, 10 October (kick-off 7:30pm local/8pm AEDT)

Japan at Saitama Stadium 2002, Tokyo on Tuesday, 15 October (7.35pm local/9.35pm AEDT).

He will be fully "jet lagged" even if he is allowed to fly to the UK direct from Nippon.

Emirates first class looks reasonable - he'll be alright

A shot of night nurse, tuck himself up in that bunk and he'll be asleep in no time, ready to rock when he awakes.

We may need to rest him for one of the three games in the week he's back.

Unthinkable to do it against Leeds. I doubt Robinson will be quite ready, so what's our options? RND or Gilchrist? We are lacking a bit for depth at CB.

He'll probably be playing in Melbourne next month for Australia against Saudi Arabia so I'll probably go watch and wear my blades shirt. Hope princy doesn't force him to score anymore own goals 😬
Your blades shirt will probably be confused for a old Melbourne Heart one....I supposed they changed to pale blue with the name change?

The Japan game kicks off Tuesday morning (our time), I assume he will be on a flight late on Tuesday night (our time) arriving back in England Wednesday night.

A kip on the plane and a lie in Thursday.. bit of light training Friday morning.. he’ll be fine for Friday night.

It's not whether he can sleep , it's the jetlag/time difference which could fuck him up.
I don't trust Gilchrist , Robbo or RND in a two , so if Souttar is predicted to be a zombie by Friday night , I'd go three at the back , Gilchrist - Anel - Robbo , with RND on bench.
We are short at CB and I would try to bring a tall one in January.

It's a hell of a timetable, they really shouldn't be any Prem or Champ games on the Friday after an international break

I didn’t realise the Australia game away at Japan was today (in about an hour). He’s starting. Realistically, probably gets a morning flight direct back to London from Tokyo, arriving mid-afternoon. Back home in the evening tomorrow. Can we see him playing Friday, realistically?

Edit: just noticed someone else posted almost the exact same as this 🤣 but with optimism about him playing v Leeds. Hope so

Hope he plays against Leeds on Friday and then is given a few days off.

Don’t want to be losing our unbeaten record because we felt compelled to drop one of the key components of the defence.

Ao Tanaka is starting for Japan.. so if we can just get Souttar to kneecap Tanaka... as Leeds really cant afford to lose any more midfielders.

He will be itching to play. Every interview he has given has involved him stating that he is glad to be back playing regularly and feeling like a proper first team footballer again. Neither he or Wilder will want to miss our biggest game of the season so unless the fitness guys rule him out I can’t imagine him not starting. The Middlesbrough game following shortly after is the complication, had we not had a midweek game I think he would definitely play.

Leeds have a few making late journeys back from far afield as well so they will be on the same boat. I think Aaronson is playing in Mexico today

Makes you wonder how they coined the phrase "International Break" , it's the opposite .
Loads of players flying across continents to play a couple of games mid season is bonkers . Some must have virtually thier entire squad on planes going somewhere
And we have another one in less than a month .
Great !

I did think when I saw Robbo starting for the U21's last night whether that might be in case Souttar is late back/knackered.....hope not...would much prefer to keep him there and Anel has fitted in really well at LCB.

Australia team bus stuck in traffic on route to Saitama stadium, arrived 2 hours late.

More importantly, lets hope that traffic has cleared for Harry's airport run after the game...

He's eyeing up Tanaka in the tunnel right now

They're coming back , on a boat?
Let's hope so.

Watched the last 20 mins . Finished 1. 1 . Souttar continues his form he has shown for us. Hope he can make the Leeds game.

A busy night for Harry, doing what he does best against constant pressure from the Japanese. 1 own goal each... (its hard to defend against one of your own blokes having a shot)

My MOTM but then again I thought I might be biased, however seems like this journo in the Guardian agrees
