he's got better and better. Had a dodgy first half against swansea last week where he gave the ball away in dangerous positions but been phenomenal otherwise. 👏

I'm not sure that O'Connell and Basham will ever be topped, but really enjoying Souttar's time here.

Obviously can’t rank your heroes easily but sort of judging them differently. As a big “fuck off” ball winner he’s unrivalled at the moment. Couldn’t get near to either of them driving forward though. All a bit of hyperbole and recency bias but he’s incredible as a centre back in this league.
 
I’ve gone from feeling a tad underwhelmed by the prospect of signing him ( based on a couple of Stoke appearances ) to in love with the big bastard.

I’d thought he looked clunky and lacking agility and would be a liability against pacey dribblers.

Wrong. Fucking wrong. He’s been immense and so has Anel this season.

It’s like having an ikea wardrobe at centre back who can meg some e running down the left wing. He’s just so likeable
 
The central defensive 3 of Cooper, Souttar and Anel are an incredible trio that oozes class and confidence. Easily promotion standard

2 of those 3 are new signings

Wilder deserves massive credit. Souttar was the right call, despite my initial indifference - the best we could get. The same applies with Cooper. Could have easily signed others, but we were precise in targeting and getting these two, and we couldn't have got better

As I said, keep this defence fit, and we'll better any recent goals conceded record of ours - looking at 35 or less
 
Luton forwards must have felt like they were running into a brick wall all match.

Rak Sakyi deserves a lot of praise today, but Souttar was my motm.
 
Would have loved to have seen him last season when we desperately needed him!

Wilder can sure spot a player.
 
His long ranged passing has really impressed me, and surprised me because I didn't think he had that in his locker. He always finds his teammates with these passes.
 

We need to say he's shit so that when the leicester fans do a 'view from' off our forum they don't want more money if we try to buy him. "He's been crap but we'll have him for £2m if you want rid thanks."

Yeah I agree, but Souttar can play in a four. It was the five at the back and the marauding runs that made Jack and Bash the heroes they are today…Not sure either of them would dominate the back line like Souttar does…He chews up strikers and spits them out

Biggest fear is that someone is seeing what we are all seeing and Leicester pull him in Jan for a sale elsewhere.

Or maybe even to use in the PL themselves.

He is due to be playing in a match this Thursday, then at Japan on Tuesday 15th and then at Leeds on the 18th.

I love Souttar

But it’s the biggest myth in football that JOC couldn’t play in a back 4
 
Anyone know what his contract situation is at Leicester? When does it expire? What sort of wage is he on? Seems little doubt he would jump at the chance of joining us if given the choice.

Souttar is nowhere near JOC level - Jack was ripping it up in defence and attack against the best players in the world. He’d have been outstanding in a back three or four.

But no need to compare them really. Souttar’s been absolutely outstanding so far. Really hope we can find a way to make it a perm - he certainly seems to be loving it and is rapidly becoming a fans favourite. Won me over in a recent post match when he said he ‘just wants to head it and kick it so that Anel can go and play’. Humble warrior with an unexpectedly quality technique - he’ll fit right in with our set of great centre backs we’ve had over the last few years.
