Souttar

Thought he was excellent today. Doesn't panic uses his size and always looks like he's aware of what's happening around him. Trusty had a couple of wobbles but looked a lot better with the calming influence of Souttar helping him out.

Not sure if Souttar's the talker we've needed in there but we looked a lot better than we have done for a while. Robbo and Anel always give the impression they're playing for themselves, or even with themselves on occasion but the two in the middle looked pretty organised most of the game.

The goal was poor but that started with no closing down in the middle so who knows, these two might be the start of a settled central defence.
Sign him up. The end

Souttar could possibly be our best addition this season.
Dominant and organised, bringing the best out of Anel.
Last season was a very low bar but this year the defence looks more solid than the last promotion side.
Plus.....how does that Derby defender feel having been nutmegged by him on the edge of his own 18 yard box.

Not only 3 clean sheets in a row for first time in almost 90 games, but only 3 goals conceded in 6 games.

Only WBA have a better defensive record in the whole league.

I took what wilder said about the captaincy as it would be Souttar if he wasn't using it as a carrot for Souza. Have we had a loan player as a regular captain before? Was Brayford?

There's a deal to be done here.

Hopefully Leicester don't price him out of our range seeing how well he's doing.

MOTM today, popped up all over the pitch and an absolute menace from corners, even pinged a few long passes out to Burrows.

It's been easy to see that a central defensive three of Souttar, Anel & Souza is an absolute cheat code in the championship
