Souttar

Man of the match for me. His nutmeg on their right back was great in front of the kop. So good he surprised himself that it come off
Apart from the goal, his run to the byline, skipping past the defender was my moment of the match. It’s really not what you expect from a 6’ 7” centre back.

It seemed like he did it then didn't follow it up. I don't think he backed himself to pull it off

yes excellent again yesterday weve a great pairing now with him and anel think he will become a bit of a cult figure at the lane

I assume there's no option to buy him after the season?

Leicester don't really seem to need him though. They have their CB duo, even though I think Faes is crap.

If we keep Cooper, Souttar and Anel together all season, that will carry us a long way towards a top 2 spot

Then consider Gilchrist and Burrows. Both already look very accomplished, and both will improve as the season goes on

So if it goes our way and we're able to keep this 5 fit, we could be looking at an outstanding defensive record

But before getting carried away, let's see how we come through a harder run of fixtures

So is Vestergaard, championship class defenders at best

Well, here's another potential nomination for greatest ever loan signing, given the ones we've had in recent years.

Gibbs-White, Henderson, Doyle, McAtee.

For me Henderson is still number 1 but what an instant impact big Harry has had in such a short time. Just a solid, immense reliable player.

It's still early days, but I know exactly what you mean.

I don't think I have seen a new player look so immediately comfortable and unfazed as him.

Leadership, great positional sense, composed on the ball and it's hard to see many opposition players beating him in the air. His little attacking forays forward were also as hilarious as they were effective. It was like watching a Rhino barge through a yard full of chickens.

It reminds me of one of the Cup games against Leeds in 02/03 when Mark Viduka barged his way past two of our defenders. It was like the parting of the Red Sea!

Buying this guy outright in January should be near the top of any new owner's to-do list. Lane Legend in the making.
You would think if they’re spending £10m it would be on a centre forward. Wouldn’t be too sure they’ll have deep enough pockets for another £10m but it would be nice to hope.

Souttar was exactly what we needed, a commanding CH who doesn't fuck about, whose reading of play is excellent, and whose presence invests trust in those around him.

Anel is back to the player we first saw and it can't be coincidence that the arrival of big Harry has brought out the best in him. More importantly, Cooper must love the fact
that Souttar will be on the end of incoming crosses. This type of signing impacts on everyone, just as Hamer produces moments of inspired play, so it is with Harry, a rock solid
player who knows how to defend.

Not that many years !!
I'm guessing u r talking JOC and ' a n other '. Thing is we never really played a centre back partnership back then it was 3 at the back. JOC is the best centre half we have had in recent memory and him paired with Souttar or Anel would have been a dream pairing.

If unr thinkjng JoC and Egan were better than the current pairing then i know it's considered blasphemy but I never really rated Egan that highly. Don't get me wrong he was a more than serviceable centre half but he didn't have a ' stand out attribute '. He wasn't the, tallest, strongest or best on the ball. He was beaten in the air by proper centre forwards and done for pace too often at the top level.
