Worst performance of the season for me, and one of the worst since Wilder has been here. Minging.

This remind me of when a plucky league 1 side draws a PL side in the cup.
Wilder must be furious....we‘ve hardly touched the ball...no fight...no belief...as though we’re happy to keep the score down.
Agree.....it’s the worse I’ve seen us play this season.

The only positive is that Southampton can‘t believe how easy it’s been.
If we come out firing 2nd half we might be able to shock them. The Southampton players might think the game is already won.....so they switch off.

In fact it might be a deliberate tactic from Wilder....be totally shot 1st half with zero effort....then like in a Rocky film...save all our energy for the 2nd half and come back fighting with the Southsmpton players expecting their easy match to continue.

Really dissapointed with their goal...the build up and defensive errors was like something you see in league 1.

I think people are being generous saying it's like a league 1 team against prem. This is like watching a non league outfit.

Agreed. Two things though he has either lost the dressing room or he’s told the lads to play this way.

Because this is a rinse and repeat of every game we have played this season. And if one players absence has caused this we have been living on the edge for years.

People who use the ‘near post’ line don’t understand football. Or angles.

A keeper’s positioning should be such that the chance of being beaten at either side is exactly the same. If one side is easier to score than the other, then you’re standing in the wrong place.

This squad has unfortunately run it’s course the wheels have come off for so many just our luck it’s happened all at once. We’re approaching the territory where you start to evaluate who’s in the rebuild plans for next year and who isn’t and pick the squad accordingly.

That half was so dreadful it's hard to know where to begin. We look like a League 2 side trying to keep the score down, though in all honesty a League 2 side would probably have shown a bit more spirit than this.

It's no longer about the players, it's a failure of management. Though that will be heresy to some I'm not suggesting he is replaced, just that I hope he learns from all his many mistakes of the past few weeks - though I'm becoming concerned he's too stubborn to do so.

Not being wise after the event I wondered before the start what the point was of having our slowest two forwards on the pitch at the start and sure enough we've barely been able to get the ball out of our own half - 19% possession against Southampton is striking. Even Burke would have allowed our defence to at least hoof the ball into space.

Can't say we've had our system found out as we aren't applying it.
Our system is movement from back to front . It requires the ability to pass 5 yard passes. We are playing a headless chicken system .
This is the worst performance I've seen since port vale away when we lost 2-0

Utter pants . No passing ,tackles are weak movement is funerial pace. And we've replaced solidity with panic at the back
Overlapping was a huge part of our success it's disappeared

Absolutely. That poke went right through Egan, it was a token effort when really there shouldn't have been much danger.

On the other hand we're lucky we're not three goals down.
