Rotherham would take more.
Any club would take more
Any club
Sick of hearing all these prim and proper I'm alright Jack twats with their condescending shit about how easy it all is.
Tens of thousands of people haven't got loyalty points because they don't go to games, but it doesn't stop them wanting to go to this particular game, same as the part time fans and daytrippers of every other club in the country.
Before anyone books time off work, before anyone can arrange baby sitters, or someone to look after mother or father with dementia, arrange transport, arrange hotels, consider who in their group can go or can't go, they need tickets.
Without tickets the whole thing falls apart
If there was 34000 tickets available and we get average attendances of 50,000 fair enough, but we don't.
There are seven or eight thousand more tickets available than we have attending games, there's no need for the delay and restrictions on who can buy them, it holds everybody's plans up until in the end they say "fuck it, its too late now"
These seven or eight thousand extra people are already not massively linked to United, they are just loosely attached to them in a "Yeah, I support United sort of, I prefer them to any other club" kind of way.
It doesn't take too much for these people to say "Aww fuck it, I'll watch it on telly"
