Perhaps you're overlooking that many clubs have financial and budget concerns due to a lot of lost income and potentially more if/when there's another winter lockdown.

There's also nothing wrong with loans and frees. Better value overall.

If dembele has 12 months left, there's a deal to be made for him. Their chairman transfer lists all players with one year remaining. He's also very vocal about who's enquired on twatter. If someone asked if we were in for him he'd give you an honest answer.
