Currently on the family stand with the kids but only need the BL lower to complete the set!

Sat in John Street from when my boys started going. Eldest gone to university and youngest works Saturday so could move back to the Kop where I had always been before but until they do something about the shit facilities there and the ridiculous leg room I think I'll stay put. Sit at the Kop end of the family stand so get the atmosphere without ruining my shins every time a goal is scored or there's a near miss. I still have the scars from my time on the Kop. Literally by the way not metaphorically!

If you want to hear ridiculous shouts for penalties, it's 'aaart when it's not within ten feet of the touchline and to watch hundreds leaving ten minutes before the end, look to the Kop. Home to the poorly knee brigade , oldest swingers in S2 town who only sing because they can't take their banjos in.

My butler and gardener sit on the Kop and say it's low rent.

There. I've said it.

Oh and G and H block are louder these days.

SS rules. Err, no, wait.

Calm yourself down Spongey, take a deep breath and keep reminding yourself that's he's just fishing for a bite........ Either that or join the rest of bombscare mob leaving early and wait for the south stand softy ahhhhrtside!
 ;)

I love the Kop but I have to watch the telly to see the goals because (a) the Bramall End looks Subbuteo-sized these days and (b) I'm only 5 ft 7 so when the big blokes in front of me stand up I can't see anything.

My new season ticket is for the South Stand, halfway between the halfway line and the edge of the Shoreham End penalty box. And Row Q so I'm not too far from the action but also not at pitch level. That sounds perfect, although it will naturally depend on the hygiene and personality of whoever sits in the next seat. A mature woman with a penchant for sharing her sweets will do nicely.

SS level with six yard box Kop end, still get a bit of the atmosphere.I went with the grandkids on Boxing day,sat on the Kop,i couldn't bloody stand upright until new years eve and i'm only 66 years old !!!

Behind the goal, where the soul of Shoreham resides.

Might have said SS G and H at one time but that stand is now gentrified and sterile as fuck.

It was a lot better when it was terracing (no shit Sherlock I hear you say) - I had a favourite spot up against the barrier slightly to the right of the goal - there was still plenty of moaning back in the day but if the people near you were annoying you just slipped a few places along

South Stand for me.

Was on the Kop for years and whenever I've been back on for the odd game in recent years, found the view even worse than before.

No this is not a discussion about your favourite sex position but where you'd rather sit. Me, behind the net. Why, because that's where you get a bit of atmosphere and that's where the characters sit/stand. You get a good perspective of the game not distorted by angles and therefore don't needlessly jump up and down and look like a twat when the ball hits the side netting. As a bonus, you also get a free whiff of skunk at half time. I've made a couple of forays into the SS this season but they are a right bunch of fucking drips in there.

There is some pretentious bastards in the SS but only a couple . Think they are both forum members ,

Righteous fuckers . Takes all sorts in the diverse church of BDTBL.

Always cold even on a hot sunny day in August due to the SS being in the shade , as the sun shines over on John Street .

I've had season tickets on all 4 sides of the ground. Joint best were both side on - John Street West Terrace and South Stand G and H (in the early 00s). Brilliant atmosphere in both and great views.

There's rarely much atmosphere at BDTBL in recent years so I'm more than happy in the South Stand (not sure it's any quieter than the Kop down our end at the view is better). Great #bantz near the opposition dugout as well.

Prefer behind the net for away matches though - makes it feel more us and them and there's nothing finer than seeing us score in front of a packed away end.

Loved being in the BLUT from 1970 to 1977 as a season ticket holder
Was in Kop for the 1977-78 season and for most of the matches between 1980 and 1989 and was comfortable there
Watched most of the matches in the 1978-79 and 1979-80 seasons from the South Stand
1989-90 and 1990-91 it was back to the South Stand again
1991-92 decided to try the new Kop and didnt like it there because of poor viewing and little leg room so never again
Back to South Stand for seasons from 1992-93 to 1996-97
John Street Stand between 1997-98 and 2004-05
Back to South Stand from 2005

Which gangway, you might be next to me. I'll start wearing a wig and make-up and bring some sweets. What are your favourites?

Spent a couple of seasons on the kop and the last two in the SS.

The best things about being on the kop are the atmosphere/singing and being behind the goal when we score at the kop end, however the worst things are the legroom when you're over 6 foot tall, loads of bell-ends, constantly having to stand up and sit down, not being able to see the game properly once it passes the halfway line towards the Bramall Lane end.

The main reason I moved to the SS was just because I wanted a better overall view of the game. However there are additional benefits, it's easier to have a piss and get a drink and you don't get the sun right in your eyes.

Has to be near half way for me as my eyes are crap. I sit just a few rows above the dugout which is great for abusing oppo managers and linos.

Overall, the view is probably a bit better higher up but when you get to know everybody around you don't want to change.

2 couples who had been there for years finally got driven mad with Adkins efforts last season and gave up their seats. They are now back, but sit in the Westfield Corner. They say the view is good but they miss the banter with the managers and officials.

Makes you feel a part of things a bit when players hear you praising them when they are subbed off and at the end!

I shall be there until I'm in the wheelchair zone!

Magic.

I was to the left. About level with the left hand side post. Used to be more or the less the same people stood around every week. (Early eighties, not sure they're still there. Did manage to get tickets for a game sat there a while ago, with my mate who I used to meet every game. I'd not been to a match with him for years and it was quite odd being where we used to stand as kids, still in the fucking third division).

Don't really mind, try and do something different everytime, aslong as we get 3 points, does it really matter!?

After years on the kop I moved to the John Street stand kop end a few years ago. The JS is far better - great view, no stupid posts in the way and great to be able to have a drink, watching Sky, under the stand pre match and/or at half time.

We have a really good ground in many ways but the kop is embarrassing.

Let me guess, your favourite game as a kid was musical chairs!
