... no not the performances United have been serving up, but the bitching, abuse and backstabbing going on between Blades on other internet message boards.
I lost my temper big time Saturday night, when i had travelled all those miles and spent all that money, only to come back to see posts and posts of utter shite about the performance from people who hadn't even seen the Blades play against QPR, or indeed against any team this season.
Half the time, these people don't go to matches and yet they think they are perfectly informed enough to contradict the people who did witness the match firsthand. How many times do you read a post saying "listening to the radio blah blah blah" "my mate who went says etc etc"? I spend good time and money watching the Blades, I don't make stuff up for the fun of it!
All these boards are full of cliques bitching about each other and the boards are even beginning to bitch about each other. As far as I can see, all the forums are as bad as each other and are both (!) as crap at the moment.
You either subscribe to the overwhelming feeling of the board or you face stupid arguments, and even when you make an undeniable statment of fact, you're just ignored. It's like repeatedly striking your head against a massive brick wall covered in rusty metal spikes.
We're all Blades, but most of the time, I dread to think I'll be associated with half of these idiots (idiots who will be first in the queue for the cup tickets against the big guns, should we have another successful run this season.)
I received an email of support from an individual who shall remain nameless. They said that they had been subjected to personal abuse by private message just for voicing an opinion that differed to the overall feeling of the board.
I'm all for debate but as soon as something turns personal, it cannot be constructive. If anyone on here feels that have been subject to a character assassination for no good reason, me or Foxy expect to be told and warnings and bans will be dished out. We will stand for most things but on this board, we aren't a clique and we see people as individuals. You get attacked, we ban the perpetrator. Simple as that, none of this free speech bollocks when it gets personal. Other than that, do as you please. We won't abuse our positions.
I was going to try and get myself banned from all the other forums so I don't have to try and waste my time anymore, but I decided against such a rash move.
Tell you one thing though, the only forum I'll be posting on in future is this one. Bollocks to passing information on to people who despise you more than those in blue and white. They can rot in hell for all I care.
