Poor from Wes, but he's far from the lone problem.

We're playing like an away team.. can't keep hold of the ball.

Hamer got done like a ducks dinner.

Anel being out-monstered by someone shorter and lighter than him

Continuation of the poor football we saw under Hecky now the new manager bounce has disappeared.
I dont understand this
Is it OK that our keeper is giving a goal away every game because other players are shit too ?
Doesn't matter how doughty got there a fucking traffic cone would have stopped that shot

I won’t pretend to be an expert on football, but what is going wrong with this team that they look completely without ideas when they have the ball? Is it lack of movement? No confidence?

I can’t remember many United sides, even the really shit ones, that struggled to keep the ball like this one does.
It's surely a lack of confidence and self belief, exacerbated by the quality of opposition week in, week out. Individually we look to have a reasonably technical side with players you'd think would be comfortable on the ball in phases. There seems to be absolutely no confidence on the ball and off the ball if you don't show you can't make a mistake

Hamer giving away a silly freekick and gets a yellow for silly foul so now going to miss Saturdays trip to Etihad Stadium as will Anel

Luton haven’t been good, something just not working today, can’t see what it is though.

Only started to play last 5 minutes. We have to be more confident on the ball second half. Lose this and the confidence to give survival a good go will be gone.

Why did Wilder bring Anel back in? Trusty and Robinson were doing well at CB and Tristy is never a LB. They ate taking the piss down his side.

Townsend and Barkley are exactly the type of free transfers we should’ve been in for. And for the one team with tighter finances than us to snap them up, is pretty disappointing.
Awful from Wes on that goal. But also we know he’s a weak link, yet we play it back to him regularly. And then everyone turns their back as they do not want to shoulder the personal responsibility of taking the ball from him and being brave enough to start the build up.
Brooks the bright spark in terms of showing bravery with the ball.

A carbon copy of the soft as shite goal they scored against us at the lane last time round

Oh I can much much worse t

Luton always first to the loose ball. McB not getting anything from the long ball to him. No one giving McAtee an outlet when he runs with the ball. A 5 man midfield l, looks like the old 3 man midfield. Need to get Archer one on one with defenders more. Back 4 very nervous may be cause they are nervous about their keeper. Poor half, getthe hair dryer out and maybe we will get the "game of two halves".....still in it as long as they don't get any shots on goal in the second half!!!

I think both wanted to stay down south.

It's clear we just don't have a side with the requisit quality and confidence to compete at any level in this league. Against the better sides we can sit and absorb pressure, sometimes that has an outcome (villa as an example), it won't be enough by a long way to compete overall. When we come up against a side like luton and need to produce a more offensive performance that's where our real shortfalls become apparent, we just don't have the quality to dominate this level

Barkley is a rolls royce. Cracking signing.

Doesn't help with square pegs in round holes. Trusty isn't a left bac k and it shows. Him and Robbo had done well so why break tje partnership? Thats on Wilder

A lot better last 10 mins but Luton very solid and keeper looks very capable. 4 at back allows more in mid but missing the width and getting players to the byeline as everything being played in front of Luton atm. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Wilder pull Brooks and add Lowe (or even RND) and go back to 3 at back. Would also give more cover against Doughty as Trusty’s getting murdered at LB

Archer claiming he was shoved for that handball decision, he was, but like an amateur he doesn't sell it, Luton free kick
