Happy with that. Today is about being competitive.
Hoping a fresh(ISH) start will motivate a few of our players. Glad wilder has dropped fleck & Thomas (two worst players last match, alongside mcbrainless). Hopefully a rousing half time team talk by wilder (who was always a good man motivator) can push us into sneaking a goal early 2nd half and give Liverpool a few uncomfortable moments

Feel positive about that, lots of what I wanted to see. 4atb, Hamer+Souza in the middle, getting the best out of Archer.

Like the move of giving Anel the armband. Hopefully gives him some confidence and focus back.

Liverpool have some great players and Van Dijk is so hard to deal with at set pieces. Was always gonna be hard to keep them out but this has been a really good effort so far.

Never saw anel as a captain, but good luck to him. Might be the extra boost he needs to get back the confidence & excellent form he had last season

Still think Souza is struggling to be effective in the midfield holding role. It is Liverpool so can’t really judge him on this game. Hopefully he improves through the next few games as it’s a position that’s important in this system.

FFS Archer, 3rd time he’s fluffed it in a dangerous position, is he awe struck or something ?

Have a feeling Hooper won't be assigned a game at the weekend after that.

Decent performance against a club with almost unlimited funds that clearly had the ref and var team on their payroll tonight, no way that darwin tackle is let go if it was us. With a decent goal scorer we probably get a draw.

My biggest gripe is the shirt swapping at the end, fucking embarrassing and makes it feel even more like I'm watching a non league club on a cup run just happy to be there

Much improved in terms of effort and attitude. Looks like we’ll be up for the battle if we continue like that.
Be interesting to see how we play when there’s more of an onus on us to attack and create something.

Thought he was fantastic tonight but definitely a couple of occasions when he should've taken it on with his left. The 1v1 against Van Dijk and the ball through from McAtee
