Not our best performance, but still came away with the 3 points.

McAtee, Ndiaye and Lowe were all very good today.

Not sure what happened to Berge... he's playing his way out of getting any team interested in him in JTW.. maybe drank too much Danish Dansk at Christmas lunch.

How was it today? I had family stuff so not seen anything apart from the highlights.

Was 3:1 generous or deserved?

Stats like that don't do much. I would love to see the stats prior to the sending off.

They barely had a sniff tbh
The Anel intervention (oo-er!) at 0-0 and the penalty save were the majority of their output today I’d say. A few crosses across the box and that long range effort that moved all over was the best of the rest.

Serves the whistle blowing, tennis ball throwing, points deduction avoiding, fake Brummie wankers right.

Took about half an hour for us to get going but impressed with our tackling today (not a phrase I use regularly) and there were some great challenges at key moments.

Special mention in dispatches for MacAtee and Clark today too.

Has anyone read the match report on BBC sport?

"Foderingham's long punt forward was flicked on, Iliman Ndiaye sprayed a pass out to the right - and on-loan forward McAtee ran on to steer home right-footed for only his second goal in professional football."

Since when has punching the ball clear been a "long punt forward"? And he steered it home left footed.

"Max Lowe then reacted well to Ndiaye's low cross, playing the ball back across goal from the left for Doyle to steer home, also his first goal for the Blades."

Unless Ndiaye has suddenly become 6'5, Norwegian and white it was Sander who crossed.

Pretty sure they got the player fouled for the second goal wrong but I could be thinking of a different free kick.

All in all, great reporting. Despite that a great win against difficult opponents.

Coventry started better than us but after 20 mins we eventually realised we were in a game.
Fortunately we have some high quality with players, with the likes of N'Dieye and McAtee causing them real problems.

Credit to Coventry though, they came with a similar attitude to Sunderland and tried to take us on.
(Most teams this season have come to BL very defensive trying to frustrate us, then hope to catch us on the break).

So it turned into an entertaining game with chances at both hands.
We were clearly the better team on the day and it was a deserved win
however it does make you wonder what would have happened it they had equalised with that penalty.
The penalty miss was the turning point and it turned into a fairly comfortable win against one of the better sides we've played.

I agree SS, Cov were the best team I have seen (apart from 1st half Burnley). They are like the inverse of us, have shit players(George's apart) but play as a team. 1st 20 mins we looked like we had just been introduced to each other.
A great win and we are now in a great position to get promoted. 3 wins coming back from the WC break is very impressive, even if the performances have not been.
Mcatee, Ndiaye, Lowe, Clark and Norwood were excellent today.
The second booking for Egan was just bullshit. He got done and VG just ran into him. Very poor reffing

great 3pts, coventry cause alot of issues in 1st 30 mins which was to be expected as they had gone from bottom of the league to 8th. we really struggled with their high tempo & aggressive closing down. couldnt get our attacking game going but when they tired themselves out & their tempo dropped, we grew in to the game, we got alot better & showed our quality.

more brilliant football from ndiaye & arguable better finish from mcatee, as you see so many players in that situation when they have time to think cock it up, but he stayed calm. then what a load of rubbish from this ref. ludicrous decision. but expected with level of officiating these days. but after watching the world cup it really brings home how much lower the bar is in championship. because if we're booking players now for players running into each other. we will struggle to finish most matches

on the penalty i can see why he gave it, but its not to say its still oppotunistic. coventry player went for the ball following the loose 1st touch, knowing full well he couldnt get to it. but on wes what a save & i cant believe he wasnt nominated for the man of the match. how can anyone watch that game & think wes was at best the 5th best player on the pitch

You were on the Kop then. Long range effort looked spectacular as it swerved left to right followed by a great dive from Wes to parry it away😃
