1st again. Thats 2 in a row now. Surely i have the record for most consecutive 1st posts. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals ! ⚔️

This match is a mega one ,may be the biggest of the season apart from the derby one . Leeds will be hoping we will start to misfire in the next week or two when you look who we will be up against . Others have a easier run than us but we are looking forward to the January window so we could address our weak links hopefully .

Have to agree with petcharlie, our biggest game apart from pigs, we really need to be 100% focused on this one. The start of a new era hopefully a succesful one, really need everyone on the top of there game, respect them dont fear them and please win

This first shit is the most tedious boring aspect of this forum
Merry Xmas
I agree totally, usually give up scrolling to try and find the actual discussion about the match.

This is our biggest game since WBA at home to seal promotion last time around. Hope Anel and Vinni are fit and both start. We could be 7 points clear of 3rd tomorrow night if it goes our way, or 1 point clear it it doesn’t 😬

Burnley have so many similarities to us.

1: They had a massive clear out in the Summer losing about 16 players.
2: Their big strength is their defence + goalie, so they've had this ability to play below par but still win 1-0.
3: They generally haven't clicked yet and many of their fans think that once they gel they'll play much better in the 2nd half of the season.
(however apparently their last match at home to Watford was their best performance of the season where they did play free flowing attacking football).
4: They have high quality individual players who can score from nothing, so again like us, even when they have a poor performance they are still capable of scoring a goal out of the blue and winning 1-0.

I suppose the main difference is when teams go to Turf Moor and sit back parking the bus, then Burnley have struggled to create chances.
Where as we always seem to find a way to win 1-0, even when opposition teams defend in numbers.

My prediction for tomorrow is a 1-1 draw, so it's remains a 4 point gap.
Hope I'm wrong, we win to open up a 7 point gap, it would be a massive confidence booster.

They should be more worried about us
Our home record is superb

Positivity should be running through our veins , I’m sure that’s how Chris & the squad will feel about it

Play our game to our strengths

2-0 Blades 😊😊😊😊😊

We could do with Blackburn winning too - they can do it , they beat Leeds at Ewood.

Crowd needs to play its part , none of that library atmosphere , going to sleep whilst we dispatch eg Oxford.
Don't be self-conscious , get singing

A draw would be good

We'll beat West Brom
Of course a draw would be good but intent has surely got to be go hell for leather for a win - it's a definite 6 pointer, against a promotion rival. A win gives us an 8 point margin- 100% Wilder will be demanding a strong start- front foot football- boxing day crowd cannot be silenced no way GO FOR IT.

Yep, we have to play like the favourites, not saying otherwise

It'll be a nervy game for sure though because both sides will be thinking 1 goal probably wins it

First game under new ownership against burnley who beat us 9-1 aggregate score last season… hmmm.

Creating chances will be the issue. I fancy bringing McCallum in on the left, he seems really champing at the bit and if Moore is about to hit some form, maybe strengthening the crossing might give us some edge against the best defence in the league. Thought we looked better balanced in the last game, when McCallum came on and Hamer and OHare shuffled rightwards, used the width of the pitch better. Still think we will do well to finish ahead of Burnley this season, but if we do go up at their expense, would love to sign Esteve. 22 left footed, centre back, strong in the air, last I think every ball which went into McBurnie, Esteve won it either side of him, in the air, absolutely dominated him in every aspect.

I want revenge for last season, but….. I’d settle for a draw in this one as it will keep us top and Burnley the same number of points behind us.

A win would be a huge statement though and huge opportunity to pull away from Burnley.

Was the Prince's first game as the owner a win ? Just wondering the new owners will be a lucky talisman for today.

As long as we play on the front foot and chase them and put them under pressure and have more intent than, certainly the game against Plymouth then I'll be happy and with a loud crowd I could see us winning.
