Blackpool fans furious that our third wasn't ruled out for a Mcburnie foul on keeper.

Just set sky to record highlights show.

The description?

"Sheff Utd v Blackpool

Sheffield United and Blackpool come to blows in a Sky Bet Championship match."

Hm, spot on. 🤔

He was on a yellow. Had the clown with the whistle had seen it, they would have been down to 8. Which would mean, another penalty miss and loss to 8....boy I sound like yunno who

Absolouteley crackers mate

I dont get it he gave the penalty on Anel which was a penalty but nowhere near like a stonewall one

Refs just dont wanna give decisions they refuse too unless they have too

Dogshit defending. Basically. Our defending cost us 3 points

Scrappy end to end start saw us 2:0 up and then we gave them two goals with some pathetic performances. Second half carried on and once again went behind. They did their best to throw it away with 2 sendings off. Some terrible attacking then followed and then we missed a pen and then we should have had another and then we equalised (which could have been ruled out for McBurnie's utterly stupid barge into their keeper on the cross). I'm not convinced out penalty was a penalty but there was also a blatant handball. Anel should have been sent off for retaliation. I think our offside goals were offside but hard to tell with his.

I'm hoping they get a lot of tea cups in the dressing room because most of them deserve it. Give Blackpool credit. They kept going and looked dangerous whenever they attacked. They also defended valiantly with 9 men. Losing would have been unfair on them but we should have won when they were down to 9.

And can someone explain our tappy tappy goal kick that then get hoofed up by a defender?

Wes - 1 or 6 - Not at fault for any of the goals but I'd want to see more from him really. Some poor distribution as well. Sent off for fighting. If it was racist abuse then I'm not marking him down for it. Otherwise, it's a 1.
Osborn - 3 - Poor first half. Gave away a few poor free kicks and offered almost nothing going forward. Better in the second but not by much.
RND - 1 - Gave away the foul for their first through sheer laziness. Had the ball at his feet heading backwards and just ambled and then filed. Got utterly done for the second as well. Spend the afternoon jogging about like he was on holiday. Some terrible crosses when we had 2 extra men. Worst game I've seen from him.
Egan - 4 - Was our best CB but then at 2:2 he decided to be Roy of the Rovers and leave us exposed. Had a good chance and header which he should have done much better with.
Basham - 2 - Was the worst player on the pitch in the first 25 minutes. Gave the ball away, got beaten easily, poor in the air, lost his marker. Bit better second half but he's turned into a liability.
Baldock - 5 - Our best defender, but going forward his final ball is non-league. So wasteful and so poor. He needs to spend a week just practicing because it's beyond a joke.
McAtee - 5 - Started well and good to see him get his first goal. Did well on a few occasions with the ball. Followed by a woeful dive and deserved booking. Did he put one tackle in all day? Defensively he is a bit of a liability.
Norwood - 6 - Mixed. Very mixed. On too many occasions he plays lazy sloppy balls and I was screaming at his Hollywood passes when we had two extra men. There's no need. He was the one midfielder getting stuck into the tackle then and after smashing one over the bar showed great composure to score the equaliser.
Doyle - 8 - By far and away our best player. Loses a mark because I'm not convinced defensively but he was our biggest threat all game.
Ndiaye - 4 - Generally poor. Spent much of the first half with the ball bouncing off him, playing poor passes and being knocked over. He does tend to have a 'head down' mode. Looked better after the goal and much better on the ball. Still too many heavy touches though.
Sharp - 5 - Started really well. Ran the line. Offside for the disallowed goal and then assisted well for McAtee. Seemed to fade from there and got side-tracked by playing his man.

Subs

McBurnie - 7 - Loses a point for an idiotic shove on their keeper just before Norwood scored which would have ruled it out if there was VAR. Otherwise did really well. Tested their keeper with a few good efforts and linked up well.
Brewster - 4 - Again looked a bit lost and the game largely passed him by. Did really well to get their captain sent off but you have to score penalties if you're a striker.
Anel - 3 - We looked better with him on but he should have been sent of for retaliation when the second lad was sent off. Utterly idiotic and he doesn't really seem bright. Unlucky not to score but possibly offside. He looked to pull his thigh again for the penalty (which I'm not convinced was a penalty - very soft), which is worrying.
Khadra - 0 - The most inept cameo I've ever seen. Crossed two balls to their keeper, got tackled, passed it out of play. All with two extra player on the pitch.

Hecky - 5 - I don't know if it's fair to criticise. He changed it. Billy worked. We were two nil up and then our defence just gave 3 goals away. The substitutions were right. Just let down in the end.

Blackpool - They were quite impressive. Poor at the back first half but looked good going forward. Some heroic defending at the death as well.

Yep .. cos Nirwood might have stepped up for the 2nd penalty.

You never know a 3rd pen & Brewster could have done his £20 million dance & missed his 4th attempt for the Blades.

Clear pen from the Westfield, would have been a fifteen yard penalty at American football
Yeah, but the first one was not a penalty and the last goal could have been ruled out for a foul by McBurnie. Hard to blame the ref for this one.

I absolutely hate those. You look like such a stupid mug when the goalie just stands there smirking then catches an easy shot
I haven't found anyone that thought he would score. Why oh why would you allow someone with.:
a) a bad penalty record
b) such a poor scoring record

take such a vital penalty???
Ndiaye all day every day

Really would like to know what transpired in that melee as Wes just snapped, went from handbags to throw down real quick.
He really doesn't come across as the kind of character to snap like that. Maybe there's some previous?

And if my aunt had balls....should would have missed too

Okay, each match on its merits and a single portion of humble pie for me tonight. A fight back point is a good point. Losing Foderingham for a while, bad news.

But losing points to a bottom 6 side at home ain’t promotion form, regardless of our league position.

UTB

Well that was very uninspiring. I dont understand our team selections lately, I know were governed by injuries, and although Bill has been a great great player for the club, he should not be starting ahead of Brewster or Mcburnie.
Sharp is now an impact sub at best.
Bash seems miles off the pace were used to seeing from him.
Osborn, well, today was defo a game to forget from him!.
Hopefully this is just a blip and we can get back on track, but I think the issues with injuries and training is going to derail all the good work unfortunately.

Positives to take away...Anel is back, and still an absolute monster! What a player he is!, could definitely do with finding his twin to play on the left next window!!
JLT warming up on the touchline also gives us hope!
Let's just hope we can get to the WC break with no more injuries, and get a few fit for the return!
And please dont let the players going cop for anything!!!

3 points was there for the taking.. 2-0 up and not out of 2nd gear, then allow them back in the game, and had to scramble a point in injury time.. frustrating game.. Stand outs today were Doyle and Baldock for me.. Great leveller from Norwood, glad to salvage a point in the end.

Opponents really give us hard time with active pressing. We got our setup running after sent off and deep defending. We need to find somekind solution to this.
