Shut the f*** up Guage. We’ve played really well, we’ve done our duty, nothing to be ashamed of!!!

Feckin downright unprofessional performance

Hecky out thought by Warnock.

Hecky cacked himself at 0-0 in the second half. Took off our most creative player and left us with shag all up front.

The players have been wank but we were never getting back in it once Ndiaye came off and we’re relying on old father time to create something on his own.
Agree he should not have taken Iliman off

This might not matter on the grand scheme of things, but it's been woeful.
Just getting the sick bucket for Warnock love in. U TB.

I'm on the fence regards McBurnie. I've often thought, even by Championship standards he doesn't have enough quality.
He doesn't even ru properly, always looks knackered or in pain when running.

However weirdly I think he'll do better in the Premier League than the Championship.
It's a little embarrassing but I think Mcburnie will have high nuisance value in the Premier League and cause some havoc.

Also a quality McBurnie DOES have which shouldn't be underestimated is personality in the dressing room and in training, character and a will to win.
McBurnie is the opposite of many of the players in the Watford squad.

He lacks quality but has the character you need to face a relegation battle.
However don't think any decent clubs would have him, so we shouldn't be offering him big wages, don't think he'll have many options.

In fact I'd put Jack Robinson in a similar bracket, not good enough for the Premier League but a massive character who will give everything in a relegation battle.
Surely the fact they don’t have the quality will be the reason we are in a relegation battle in the first place. which they then have the character to help us get out of but they can’t because they don’t have the quality?
We should try and get better players who have a lot more skills and maybe just a bit less character to avoid this situation.

I'm fucking fuming from that. Fans need a refund after that second half
The players need to lay off the booze and put in a much better performance against Birmingham, they owe that to the fans and management

Shudda been 4-0 up at half time after total domination and then produced an utterly gash second half.
Not sure where Bash’s head was as he was wandering around looking totally stoned. Must have been turned half a dozen times. He was constantly on the wrong side of his man. WTF?
If we learnt something it’s that we have nothing without Ndiaye. He went off and we produced next to zero.
Maddening performance even though the game meant nothing to us.

A right back at left back
A centre back at right back
A left back at centre back

Somebody make it make sense

Ive no problem losing to Huddersfield if it means Reading are relegated.

Oh and there is a time when you know its the right time to let a legend go,you know who i mean for him being Jack Hunted which very nearly cost us a goal but for a great save by Fotheringham and then what was he trying do with Ward for their goal. Its not just this game there have been others throughout the season.

Think its more that Warnock has taken the complete piss out of Hecky tactically tonight.

Warnock's plan was spot on, although they did have some luck with the chances we missed first half. You could see us getting frustrated a bit before half time, and no doubt our focus at half time was how to break them down.

But they came out more aggressive and pushed higher up after the break. I reckon Warnock couldn't believe his luck when Ndiaye and Jebbison went off. We had no threat in behind and they could continue to push forward and they got their reward with a good goal. We were poor after that. Two more subs and a formation change didn't help and we struggled to create much at all.

A game too far at the end of a great season.
Eternal thanks to Stevens, Bash, Fleck, and Norwood....but you're all done I'm afraid (imo). Go now and leave us with the incredible memories you've all helped to create for our club over the last few years. You won't be forgotten.
If we could ship out McBurney and somehow bring in Gyokeres with the prem money, the management would deserve a medal.
God help us if we can't bring in 4-5 new players and/or Illiman gets an injury.
utb

if those first half chances fall to someone capable of finishing their dinner then its a different story.

Second half, too many have jacked it in there for me. No one has played well second half.

McAtee and Doyle have had possibly their worst games of the season. Basham made to look like a pub player. McBurnie a fucking mile off it. Baldock running round like a headless chicken.

Hecky can surely only be wanting to re-sign some of the old guard on a purely financial basis. If we can afford replacements, then we should absolutely be looking to do just that.

McBurnie is the opposite of many of the players in the Watford squad, they have talented players with zero character.

He lacks quality but has the character you need to face a relegation battle.

This season half our team has lacked quality but those players without the quality have been influential leaders and that comes in useful when facing adversity.
I don't think I've seen it in the 4 years for me to believe that he can do it for us. There's always an 'if' when talking about Mcburnie - if he gets fit, if he gets a run of games, if he gets supply (....if he'd just stop falling over all the time and stand and and fight for a 50/50). Seems like a great bloke and I do agree with you on the character around the team - it's in no way personal, but a Premiership footballer / top end Championship player I just don't see, especially to be the main guy. With wages and transfer fee an awful lot has been invested in him. Main problem is, I don't see us doing that again (Gyokeres/Stewart etc).

Frankly that was embarassing. Half that lot need binning pronto with absolutely no sentiment wharsoever.
Norwood
Fleck
McBurnie
Stevens
Basham
Sharp

There are a few more but that lot for sure.
...and where do you find 6 replacements that we can afford as well as covering the three loans who go back ?
It will take more than one window to replace those that are no longer up to standard.

First half was good and Jebbo should have scored a couple. 2nd half was crap, not helped by some weird substitutions.

Making judgements about next season based on this game is dopey. Obviously some of the squad aren't good enough for the Premier League, but we knew that before tonight. Fulham aren't shit just because we spanked them on the last day of last season, in a game that meant much more to us than them. Our season is effectively over, whereas this was Huddersfield's most important game so far. This is the silliest forum meltdown since people were demanding we scrap the system and get rid of half the team, because we lost a pre-season friendly against Scunny.

How do I access the Shoutbox? I've seen people talking about it but can't work out how to find it. Apologies if I'm being thick/ blind
