Ok
Shall we run a bit of a sweep on the minute that one of our defenders has the usual brainfart and it becomes 2-1
I'll say 80th minute and then ten minutes of absolute bedlam to follow
We do that all the time don't we. I mean six goals conceded at home in 16 league matches with 12 clean sheets. Shocking.

that was brilliant it was probably 2nd only to fulham. it was sublime from all 11 players, i havent seen us dominate a game in that way for such a long time, they werent in the game. it was role reversed of last season in the 1st game but at ewood park. every time we went forward we could score. we shouldve, whereas mcburnie has his best game for a long time. i would be asking for him to start on v Luton. playing like that & positions he kept getting in, but at some point you have to bury them. as some of the sitters he missed. they were harder to miss

ill feel for norwood because it was brilliant free kick & i loved the moment of silence, any other game & thats what people would talk about but that 3rd goal from ndiaye will surely be goal of season & its certainly 1 of the greatest goals ive seen in my 20+ yrs, easily in my top 10. not since jamie murphy v gillingham in 97th min. have i seen a goal like that

Really enjoying watching our home performances at the moment. We have some cracking footballers all over the park and all seem to be pulling together.

That was very good today, MoM for me was Norwood, followed by RND and McBurnie. Love watching Ndiaye, Berge and Khadra going past players and Max Lowe is playing well after an iffy start.

I'm sure I read a stat about 10 year ago that Blackburn Rovers are the club we've played the most times in our history.

Does anyone know if this still true.

That's serendipitous because they're the team we played on the day I was born.

I wonder who we've played against most in my lifetime, probably Preston or the tree shaggers.

Triple portion of humble pie for my consumption.

Sunderland and Blackburn victories plus top of the league.

Hecky, the gift that keeps on giving!

Why do I always feel we’re always a game away from the wheels coming off and a full implosion ensuing?!?

UTB

I hope they are on a feckin huge promotion bonus this season , they have the tools to do it , they just need to maintain the desire , in every game.
The most significant aspect of today was the desire & effort , despite missing Billy's positive influence as a squad member.
Maybe there can be "success after Billy".
No sales please HRH.

Yeah, course it was.

After all, you're well known for your joyful repartee and whimsical, sideways take on life.

Yes, it was a joke, full of a whimsical, sideways take on United never doing things the easy way, as even the most deluded clapper knows we hardly ever do.

Of course in your tunnelled vision and narrow minded view, ir's fine to able to criticise somebody's outlook on life in its entirety because they regularly take the piss out of your preshy weshy United.

I think it's probably you that has the sad life

We've now had 3 home games against a selection of opponents who probably represent 'average championship'

3 wins
7 goals scored
1 goal conceded

That's exactly what you should do as a top 2 team

To immediately be perfectly on track with the home form is pleasing

I don’t think you understand the meaning of the word ‘never’.

I don’t think you understand the meaning of the word ‘never’.

Yes, NEVER means absolutely never ever, ever, ever, but that isn't the context in which it was said.

It's not about winning where some gonk like you can come onto message boards with your smug pathetic, corrections of everybody.

It's about 'Never" it means you can NEVER relax with United, a game is never over

The quietest that Bramall Lane is, is when we are 2-0 up with 15 minutes to play.
That tells you all you need to know.

The nerves kick in, the celebration doesn't happen, because everybody knows with United it's too early to celebrate.

It would be noisier at 0-0 or even if we were losing 1-0

But if we are winning it's almost as if every man, woman and child half expects something to go wrong.

It's called being none deluded

finally got the stills from Saturday. shows it was cock from Blackburn defender. this 1 below after he's been hit in the back & its gone in. Blackburn defender is clearly in play as he's just in front of the line.

20220821_235755.jpg

then hilariously he protests. realises where he is & steps further back to pretend he was never on the pitch. all futile attempts because regardless he was still being play onside by the Blackburn player beside him

I was sure the ball was out before Burnie crossed it i was convinced it wouldn't stand

According to Law 11, stepping on/off the pitch doesn't help any more!

"The other special case worth looking at involves players off the field of play. For defenders, if you’re off the pitch without permission, you’re on the goal line or touchline for the purposes of offside. That prevents defenders from stepping off the field of play to create an offside. Significantly, this part of the law doesn’t distinguish between leaving the field deliberately or accidentally. If you get forced off the field by a collision of some kind, you’re out of luck."

You couldn’t relax against Blackburn when we were 3-0 up and they hadn’t even had a shot on target?

If you didn’t talk such bollocks I wouldn’t have to come on and correct you all the time. Your negativity about everything to do with United is fucking pathetic

Ditto……from South Stand it looked fully over the line…..don’t think any Blackburn players appealed for it though.
