Only saw first half. Firestick went down in second half ffs. Think signal is getting blocked here in lanz often now.
But what I saw was encouraging. Swansea had a lot of possession but we dealt with it very well.
Unlucky with OHare hitting bar.
So far so good. Another clean sheet.
Thought Tanganga had excellent first half.

Japh and Anel would have been a cheat code in this league. But, we all know why that didn't happen!!!

When you’re building a team, the absolute first priority is to be defensively sound and organised. We’ve ticked that box in two tough league games.
We all know we need creative players to come in now… everything depends on us getting the right loan deals sorted.
Let’s hope we can pull in a couple of gems and we may just be ok.

Swansea have the ball so much against us and yet most the time it feels like we are most likely to score.

Obviously with Chong out, Donavon not involved and one too the creativity of last week wasn't there at all and that was hardly chance after chance!

We won on xg...🤣

Being solid is a base to build from. We are that.
Everybody knows bigger attendance outweighs xg

thought Burrows and Peck were poor to there standards today everyone else top of pitch average. defense solid good point would of like to see all subs been made Donavon for o hare for last 10 see if we could open em up on break with Campbell

be interesting to see how we go on midweek and who plays UTB ⚔️

I actually think that’s as good as that collection of players is capable of. Rarely trouble but never really looked like scoring or controlling the game for significant periods. A class 18th placed team but that’s all we can expect from this set of players. Wilder will do well if he keeps these looking farely safe all season

I'm okay with this start; hopefully Wilder is focusing on getting us through the next few games, pick up some points and keep us tight, with a view to getting some attacking reinforcements by close of the window. I'm not sure he hundred percent trusts the players/team yet

We got 2 shots on goal...whoooo

That’s one way of saying it.

Another is we restricted one of the better sides in the league to 1 shot at goal away from home.

It’s looking like we’re on the way to having one of the best defences in the division.
Hardly conceded any goals in pre season either.

Just need to score then we’ve a great chance of play-offs.

Hopefully we stick with 3-5-2 set up, it’s the best set up for this squad and collection of players.

If we can bring in another Left or central CB and center forward then I’d stick with this system now. It will get the best out of Seriki and Burrows, suits our midfielders to play as a 3 and Bamford needs support. It also helps get the best out of Tanganga and McGuinness.

As we bore draw ourselves to mediocre safety, oh the excitement!

The team is already under pressure, so at present results are far more important than entertainment.

Crap 2 matches for the fans as there’s so little creativity but I’m sure Wilder will be satisfied
….2 solid performance not looking like conceding against 2 reasonably strong teams expecting top half finishes…..it’s OK for now but we need to start scoring.

I agree. 3-5-2 suits the players better.

I wonder what this means for Donovan though. Another wasted loan on a player with no purpose?

What do they do all week, certainly don’t do that outdated manoeuvre called’pass and move’ . It’s proper bollock tightening watching this week in,week out.
When my bollocks tighten it usually precedes a terrific gush of joy or at the very least a satisfying shit

Summary of the season
Karma Strikes!

Not so much
Chris Wilders Sheffield United
as
Sheffield United Knill

Haha believe me,it was no joy, travelling all that way again to witness that, bugger Cardiff next week,we are going into town for a beer or two and a ogle.

Tanganga and McCallum just need to be a bit more disciplined so McGuiness isn't isolated
Tanganga showed yet again how poor he is
He cannot defend (or attack)
McCallum seemed to be drawn too far forward leaving big holes in behind
- as you would expect having played as the sole left sided attacker all his time here

As someone else has posted
RND is the best left sided centre back
But are we REALLY to believe Baptiste is still on the bench because he is injured?
but fit enough to keep Zatterstrom out.

Not sure when you posted this but at half time I thought it was a matter of time before Swansea scored
(Very similar to playing under Selles last year as both managers play Pepshit football)
Thought we better filled the glaring gaps in the second half around these two.

If you look at Donovan’s history he’s played as a 10 as well.

I actually think this will be a horses for courses formation.

By the next league match we may well have decent wing options and will revert back to 4-2-3-1.

Undefeated and 2 clean sheets. Way better than last seasons start. Let's see how we go after the next few games which are winnable.

🎶We're pissing the league, we're pissing the league, Sheff United..
