Unless Billy was going in for the Vulcan neck pinch, this just looks like three blokes having a quiet chat over a beer.
Just looks like they are talking to me....
1. Fact check it. We can't, so it's probably nonsense. Why would people post pictures of footballers upset after being told they've no longer have a job?
People!
4, If they are having a barny about something, they should be doing it in private.1. Fact check it. We can't, so it's probably nonsense.
2. If it is true, why are you taking that moment to break news that isn't yours to share? Be there for the club, they deserve better.
3. Why would people post? Gotta get them sweet, sweet internet points haven't you? They're practically currency aren't they, and there's a cost of living crisis to cope with. Or sumat. I dunno.
With the greatest respect, McGoldrick is not Billy Sharp. Sometimes we are all ruled by the heart. What will be will be whatever is spouted on this forum. The club want to use the wage budget on a player that's not 37 & hasn't just had a season of scoring 2 goals in a team that's been promoted. Lets say for instance we give him a new contract at £5/6k pw then that's less money in the pot.
McGoldrick left brilliantly with an understanding of the direction the club needed/ wanted to take.
I'm actually "facebook friends" with this gent. Went out with a lass I know 20 years ago. He actually works at the town hall so he was just doing his day job rather than being invited.Hopefully the smug so and so doesn't get invited to such events again.
The McGoldrick reference was a player at the back end of his career that has done an amazing job for the club over 4 seasons (has a legendary status with fans albeit not on sharps level) but understood the club needed to reallocate the budget. With the greatest respect, McGoldrick is not Billy Sharp. Thanks for everything King Billy![]()

What's the crowd chanting at 3:45 when Paul Walker tells them to let him finish.
What's the crowd chanting at 3:45 when Paul Walker tells them to let him finish.
Obviously not, but sounds like they're chanting "scab".
Must've been something bad though with the way PW shot them down
Listening to it live there were some boos when he said if this is the end after the chants of one more year. I don’t think the boos were directed at Billy but more at the idea of him not returning. However, PW was right to shut it down it was Billy’s time to speak and he deserved the chance to do so without trying to shout over people. What's the crowd chanting at 3:45 when Paul Walker tells them to let him finish.

Still doesn’t dismiss the fact, albeit with hindsight, his departure was a big mistake !!McGoldrick doesnt have legendary status he was a good player not a legend
I disagree.Still doesn’t dismiss the fact, albeit with hindsight, his departure was a big mistake !!

I’m not going down the route of who is / isn’t a legend. I’m sure there’s a thread for that somewhereMcGoldrick doesnt have legendary status he was a good player not a legend
His son is going to become the next club legend isn’t he…Family man thru and thru,at the Premier Family Club.

You said McGoldrick has legendary status he doesnt that is quite clearI’m not going down the route of who is / isn’t. It’s just a reference to this situation.
They were chanting "snek, snek".What's the crowd chanting at 3:45 when Paul Walker tells them to let him finish.

It's almost like you're trying to provoke a reaction or debate. I don't care what his label is. It was simply a comment on the fact united fans love him & were gutted to see him go, however, its worked out for the best for both parties since. You said McGoldrick has legendary status he doesnt that is quite clear
It was, those two lads from Man City who replaced him were rubbish and the season was a disaster.Still doesn’t dismiss the fact, albeit with hindsight, his departure was a big mistake !!

Looks like he had a shite season for Derby too banging in goals every week & starting games regularly! It was, those two lads from Man City who replaced him were rubbish and the season was a disaster.
Ili replaced him. And admirably too. Obs.It was, those two lads from Man City who replaced him were rubbish and the season was a disaster.
When 11:45 on a Sunday comes?Forget the statue, make the film
Your point was that letting him go was a mistake. Your point was clearly and undeniably wrong. We got promoted, so where’s the mistake?Ili replaced him. And admirably too. Obs.
Entirely missing my point that Dids has loads left to offer, as has been borne out.
Hindsight eh !!
