I'm actually "facebook friends" with this gent. Went out with a lass I know 20 years ago. He actually works at the town hall so he was just doing his day job rather than being invited.

Not sure creating rumours is part of his job description though.

The McGoldrick reference was a player at the back end of his career that has done an amazing job for the club over 4 seasons (has a legendary status with fans albeit not on sharps level) but understood the club needed to reallocate the budget.

He’s gone to a club where he’s banging in goals & playing every week instead of sat on the bench. Something Sharp could be doing next season

Billy Sharp is an absolute legend, that’s obvious & being blunt about the matter in hand doesn’t take anything away from what we think of him, it’s just reality of the situation.

Listening to it live there were some boos when he said if this is the end after the chants of one more year. I don’t think the boos were directed at Billy but more at the idea of him not returning. However, PW was right to shut it down it was Billy’s time to speak and he deserved the chance to do so without trying to shout over people.

I disagree.

I loved McGoldrick, but his time was right, as is Billy's.

Getting promoted with our highest ever 2nd tier points tally suggests we haven't missed him.

If McGoldrick had stayed, would we have loaned in McAtee?
