Outgoing? Seriki

We should dismiss it immediately.

Seriki is a way better option off the bench than Gilchrist and is a game changer for us and every time he comes on.

He's probably one of our most important attacking players as he offers something nobody else in our squad does.

Jimmy Dunne is no way near good enough to justify losing what Seriki brings.

Can only think a loan to QPR as part of the Dunne deal.

They lose their Right Back, but we give them Seriki till the end of the season who gets to be first choice.

If Dunne comes in to United, we have Gilchrist, Dunne, Clarke and Seriki all capable of RB.

Letting Seriki get 90 mins week-in-week-out can't be the worst thing

Or, they might be looking at taking him on a loan deal as we have Clarke and Gilchrist at RWB. It might be a case of if QPR take Seriki then perhaps they will bend a little more to our offer for Dunne.

Or maybe we will let Seriki go out on a permanent (to get Dunne now). But if we do, it would need the deal to have a reduced amount buy back option for United during the course of his contract. That way he plays for them as their player but we have the option to bring him back at an agreed price. So he's getting the experience and playing regularly and we still retain a very avrive interest in his future. A bit like the Archer deal really.

Personally, id prefer to keep the lad as he's an exciting talent, but he does struggle to keep fit, and if he is leverage to get Dunne in now on a permanent....

Seriki has struggled with injury. He came back v Swansea and couldn’t sprint after 10 mins of being on. Did well to last the game.

I’d be extremely surprised if he was going anywhere

Maybe Dunne has said he wants to go and QPR with so little time left have agreed to let him go as long as we lose an Seriki.

Now we've got Clarke and probably Holding though it seems less likely Dunne is coming.

Seriki's ceiling is Premier League.
He's got all the athletic and technical attributes to make it.

He needs to tidy up on his defending, but coaching can solve that.
Very, very few players have what he has.

Letting him go to bring in Jimmy Dunne (not even a CB) would be dreadful business and extremely short sighted.

Seriki can (as seen) win us games at this level. He'd be the first sub I'd look to if we were chasing a goal.

I'd much sooner send Gilchrist back to Chelsea for a loan move down the road to QPR. Would solve the matchday loanees problem too.

Might help him build his fitness up as he never got a consistent run in the team when it was just him and Gilchrist.

Especially as Harry Clarke seems to be a good mix of both Seriki and Gilchrist.

This is either a windup, or they’re playing silly beggars. We’ve unsettled their player, so they’re unsettling ours.
Doubt he'd be unsettled as it wouldn't be the right move for him.

But we need to be careful. Our young players have played a part in us being in the automatic promotion places. If we're now bringing in a few signings and the youngsters are being prepared to play less, other clubs will notice, and be notified.

Some may say, we think you're great and will make you our first choice in your best position. All of a sudden being back up to a some loan player won't be as attractive any more.

That's very kind of you sorting out Chelsea and QPR's transfer window for them.
Have you contacted Chelsea and QPR with your advice ?

No, but I'd hope someone at our end has considered it before they let one of our only creative talents leave to bring in Jimmy Dunne, a right back, to play centre back.
A fairly minor defensive upgrade to lose one of our brightest talents and game changers.

I think the unsettling thing only works when it's a bigger club coming in! I don't imagine Mbappe would be too unsettled if SUFC put in a bid for him.

50/50 with this one for me i wouldnt like seriki to go out on loan but if it gets us dunne and holding it might just be worth it weve still got clarke gilchrist and possibly dunne who can play right back

I'd do it on loan if it gets us Dunne

Can't rely on his fitness

Also, at QPR away, one of our harder games, they'd be without their first choice RB
This is the only thing that makes sense. QPR also have Sunderland and Burnley in their last 2 games so could indirectly help us out

Gilchrist to QPR would make more sense though. Because Dunne is more of a Gilchrist replacement if used at RB. There's no one like Seriki, but Clarke appears able to provide much of it

I will be genuinely pissed off if we sell Seriki, so hopefully we tell any suitors to do one.

The lad's ceiling is incredible and I could see him acclimatising to the PL fairly easily.

There’s no indication whatever that anyone at our club is taking this as a serious bid, or that they would even consider it. Plus, he’s injured.

I agree but at the moment there is question marks over his fitness.

I don't want him to be sold but I'd be open to letting him go out on loan.
