Gilchrist to QPR would make more sense though. Because Dunne is more of a Gilchrist replacement if used at RB. There's no one like Seriki, but Clarke appears able to provide much of it

Seriki's previous loans have not been good for him so I wouldn't bother sending him out again. He has a chance to play some cameo roles for us if he can get fit and stay fit

I agree but at the moment there is question marks over his fitness.

I don't want him to be sold but I'd be open to letting him go out on loan.

At the start of the season I assumed he would be loaned. Obviously our lack of depth made that infeasible. But having seen the player he has become now, I want him involved.

No, but I'd hope someone at our end has considered it before they let one of our only creative talents leave to bring in Jimmy Dunne, a right back, to play centre back.
A fairly minor defensive upgrade to lose one of our brightest talents and game changers.

I wouldn't say he was one of our Brightest talents maybe going forward but he's along way off being good enough defensively for a top end championship side.
Having said that I wouldn't let him leave he's our one player with some genuine pace.

We have very few athletes in our team. Femi is rapid, strong, skilful, and when he gets the ball he wants to drive at the opposition. No one else in our squad (apart from Buyabu, who I hope will be around the first team next season) has this skill set and it would be ridiculous to let him go out on loan.

He’s miles better than anything we have and it’s been clear all season he’s better than Gilchrist

I see a lot of people questioning his defensive abilities on here

The Motherwell loan was strange, then he seemed to disappear for a bit. I thought this would be his breakthrough season, but maybe a loan at Rochdale is the key! It worked for Seriki.

Glad he’s under contract. I read the start of your post and panicked.

Wilder always says he wants planning and contracts sorted.

I believe it’s only Robbo and Brewster who are out of contract in the summer.
