Wasn't that a special case because of the train issues from the north west?

Broadcasting rules: no live football can be shown between 2.45pm and 5.15pm. if we kicked off at 12.30pm then normal time would finish about 2.20pm, extra time at about 2.55pm and penalties some time after 3. They would have to cut to War of the Monster Trucks midway through the second half of extra time.
I know the FA are keen to flog Wembley to death but surely moving the semi to Old Trafford/Anfield would mean the game could be shown at 5:30 which means more views and broadcasting revenue (plus they get the gate receipts).

The FA would only be down on corporate tickets and lose the pie sales but surely the TV money dwarfs that.

....and although its absolutely bottom of the list fans wouldn't need to make a 320 mile round trip.

Hope I'm not sat next to this Barrel of laughs.

On what level does slating the toilet that is Wembley have to do with anything else. I doubt I'd sit next to you as I doubt you have the wit or intelligence to find your way to north London.

It's not been confirmed, but it's Saturday.

When it's confirmed we'll know the time as well.

I love this thread. We'll get to 100 pages and all we will have done is gone 'round in circles. "It says Satdi 3pm on sufc.co.uk... When was that confirmed?... It hasn't been... It's Satdi... When?... Dunno... So, how do you know it's Satdi?... I don't, but it is... So what time?..."

I've got plenty of wit and intelligence, so don't you worry about me thanks.

We know, we don't know what time!
We don't know for sure 100% until it's confirmed though do we? We know about the City and Man U fixtures which indicate that it will be the Saturday, but until it's been officially stated.....

The game will almost certainly kick off at either 5.15pm or 5.30pm. The travelling fans' trips won't be considered.

You also miss the fact that the FA would have to pay a hire fee for Anfield (capacity 54k or 60% of Wembley) or Old Trafford (74k/82%). The latter may be bigger but it's also suffered from a real lack of investment; the former would leave 15k tickets for each club once the 25k of corporate and freebies have been taken from the capacity.

Until it’s officially confirmed you’re right, but we do know. The Man U game is on their website as a Sunday KO.

Our game should be played at Old Trafford or Villa Parkk
Wembley is very good, it is a very impressive place inside & because everyone who wants a ticket can a get a ticket thats why i disagree with villa park. Etihad Stadium, Old Trafford, Millennium Stadium or Anfield would fit. but that would probally cost money whereas Wembley free to hire but the other 4 could be a 100,000

Last year's ties played at 15.30 on the Saturday 16.30 on the Sunday

Can't people just wait? Or at least read?

Manchester. United. Play. On. The. Thursday. Meaning. Their. Game. Is. 100%. On. The. Sunday.

This. Means ours. Will. Be. Saturday.

It. Is. Not. Difficult.
