3.30 kick off on a Saturday? Won't someone think of the armchair fans.

A doubles match, us and Citeh against Manu and Brighton

At least Doyle and McAtee could play then.

We could then branch out into mixed doubles with the mens and women's teams

It'll be a dream for the BBC to air such a game
Could play double cuppies!

Who would be our team? Ndiaye obviously, other one would be tricky, Baldock's energy might work, or McBurnie to annoy the other pairings.

Don't want to start another Wembley thread so...

Does anyone remember how ticket allocation went the last ime we went there? Loyalty points - Season tickets - Membership - General Sale ???

Last season, the Saturday game was 3:30pm
That was because it was Easter Saturday and all the EFL games took place on Friday and Monday that weekend. Not the case this year. They won't do early kick off due to potential for extra time and penalties - game has to be finished for 2.45 pm.

Just checked and the PL games kicked off as normal on the Saturday. 4x games at 3pm. All lower leagues will have been Friday & Monday though

Our game should be played at Old Trafford or Villa Park
Wembley is located in a complete toilet with an infrastructure inferior to Mogadishu.
The return journey travel time by coach is around 6 hours.
Unlikely you'd get a train if ko is at teatime.
Seen us in 1 cup semi at old Wembley and 1 at new along with 3 PO finals and the results were less hurtfull than the journeys. Cardiff was an easier trek v Wolves as was Old Trafford v Arse and Newcastle.
At least when we lost the 2 legged PO game at The Lane against Bristol City it only took 30 mins to get home. Carl $%%^&(^&£" Shutt!!!!!

They can't even say it's because we're still paying for Wembley anymore.

The blackout is for the efl not the PL.

Also stupid in this day and age. Everybody has access to any game they want. If they prefer to watch it at home, they will.

3pm blackout is ridiculous

I believe that was an exception due to extreme rail disruption, rather than any indication that they're allowing general exceptions of the (ridiculous) 3pm no telly rule

Yeah but look at all those 50000 Wendy fans who will stay at home to watch us instead of going to see the vital game against (checks fixtures) Burton Albion.

That is correct but they were only able to do it because there were no efl games so the blackout did not apply.

Blackout dates for this season are:
Saturday dates (inclusive), 'blocked hours' granted, all 15:45–18:15 (CET)

  • 30 July 2022 – 17 September 2022
  • 1 October 2022 – 12 November 2022
  • 14 January 2023 – 18 March 2023
  • 1 April 2023 – 20 May 2023

SUFC website has this; it's probably just a placeholder, but it'd be nice if they said so.
