Isn’t it the exact risk that we took with Selles? Wednesday fans were pimping him out to all comers last season, and people started to believe it. His CV is no more impressive than Selles’s.Genuinely think Danny Rohl would be a good shout
So Wilder would have resigned this summer? It'll be another pushover who gets such a nosebleed to have the job that he'll do whatever ai tells him to do.
I think they can go back one more time- just say 'sorry we made a huge mistake, please come back and try to steer us out of this mess'I don’t see him getting more time tbh which is madness but there we are.
I hope the next man through the door isn’t wilder we can’t just keep going back for him to be the stop gap shots parties need to have some self respect at this point
We’re too cheap to pay the compoMark Robins.
I think a lot of fans would go back for him, but I don't think the Board would consider it.
I was more interested to hear who the fans would go for out of the most realistic considerations.
Southgate is an interesting shout that I didn't consider.
Me tooYes without doubt
Bit rude. Do I think the manager had some influence on transfer policy? Yeah probably. But I was mainly referring to him spending £20m on Skipp at Leicester.
No worries bud. Yeah both shockers in their own way.Fair play and didn't mean to come across as being rude. Was more a badly worded back handed compliment.
Again re Leicester not sure how much input he had into signings and would hazard a guess £20m on Skipp probably isn't as bad as £23m on Brewster.
I think he earned it FFSHe's had enough of our hard earned money FFS
None of the above, recycled shite.Writing's on the wall for Selles.
Looking ahead, who would you go for...
That seems to sum it up … and unfortunately a fair number of our fans saw it the same way. The players all seemed to love his approach, which is much more important in my view.Don’t think they liked that he won games but drank beers with his mates and sang songs
Familiar with Dutch roundabouts!Lives in Sheffield.
Agree 100% ... 92 points last yearIs leaving Chris Wilder off your list deliberate then? How disrespectful.
ChatGPT gets fucking worse!Does anyone know Wilders contract situation?
Maybe he’s still officially an employer of the club…but put on gardening leave.
The plan is we keep continue paying his monthly salary as before but if he finds another club then he has to buy himself out of his contract.
If this is the case….then why not put Selles on gardening leave and simply order Wilder to return to his duties, as per his contract.
Sums up the unhinged hatred of Wilder. I’ll take a dinosaur who knows how to win every day of the week. Dyche has produced success on comparatively low budgets compared to some of the so called master tacticians who get huge resources to play with.Wilder and Dyche are both dinosaurs, at least Cooper is far superior tactically than those two. The only good thing that would come out of dyche being manager is that he and wilder have always been big mates, and it would piss wilder off massively. Danny Rohl as manager would push wilder off the edge.
If the board think for one moment that Rohl is in any way an option then it’s clear they know very little about this football club.Röhl is totally unproven, IMO. Not good enough.
Dyche is a stereotypical choice for shoring up the side.
Cooper is the ambitious option, still carrying a good rep. Maybe the unrealistic option.
Mousinho is the up-and-coming choice, building a reputation but early on in Barney's managerial bell curve. You could get him now and take a chance on riding his momentum/development, as we did with Wilder first time around.
Exactly this - the enormous arrogance of the owners, thinking they knew a better way in the Championship is hugely worrying. If they’d put proper football people in to assess and make decisions, I could have a bit more confidence. The board considered Selles. The evidence for doing so was not convincing at the time and is even more of a mystery now. I think it was purely down to style of play, in which case you can immediately remove Dyche. Frankly we’ve got everything we deserved after sacking Wilder. Leeds finished in the playoffs and stuck with Farke. Unfortunately the owners have come in with a few bob and think they know what they are doing.
Spot on … take an enormous cavern between club and fans … and somehow make it wider !!If the board think for one moment that Rohl is in any way an option then it’s clear they know very little about this football club.
Eh?So Wilder would have resigned this summer?
