More likely they've ended up shafting themselves.
From what i've read, they argued they spent 5m on Naughton, then sold him for 5m. As the sell-on fee only applies to profit, we got nothing.
However, that means they only spent 2m on Walker. So anything above 2m, we have a sell on for.

I have no doubt that Walker will be moving on this summer as it looks like his head has been turned so to speak, it will be interesting to see what Levy tries this time.

The biggest profit 'haircut' is probably agents fees

If Spurs sell Kyle Walker for say £30 million more than they paid SUFC and agents get £10 million is sell on fee calculated on £30m because the receiving club pays the agents or £20m because Spurs pay the agents?

Bruce, not being funny, but we're already promoted and now a Championship team. As for wage structures, in a recent interview Wilder mentioned that at some future point the club will reconsider the existing structure, so nothing's being left to chance. I don't imagine we'll go hell for leather where money's concerned but I also think we won't shirk should the opportunity arise to sign someone worth the bucks. What we won't do is spend money simply because we can, we'll leave that to the loons over at S6.

In all seriousness if Stones is worth 50 million than Maguire is worth at least half that in today's market. Can see him going to Chelsea or Arsenal. Walker will probably go to Barcelona if anywhere to finally properly replace Daniel Alves. Adams will stay for another season IMO

There will be a 'problem' should any of these go through in that other clubs will know about this and up their asking prices for players which will be a small pain

I had exactly the same thought this morning too.

IMO - Harry is worth £20m of anyone's money. He's played as well if not better than Gibson and that lad from Burnley - and the parashoot payments should ensure that they don't need a fire sale.

Levy loves a hard bargain so if Walker goes it will be for big money. I'd guess at £40m plus - he would probably want a near world record for a defender and being honest can you name a better right back atm?

Adams - surely West Ham aren't that stupid

It's looking very likely that we'll get a £6m+ bonus this summer. As long as the clauses are rock solid and Levy can't worm his way out of it.

Would be happy if we used it to make one quality signing we wouldn't otherwise make.
