Yeah, but not seen as Hendrie should be fit for the wolves game according to Robson.
They can pass and defend, we saw that against West Brom.
Don't even think tonge made 2 passes barely noticed him all game!
and as for being consistent
I say when tonge plays crap, i comment when he plays well, seems fair enoguh to me?

So your basing his slating on 2 passes?, He played good balls into the strikers more than twice! If one of the twenty yard passes is the one i'm thinking of, it was due to the winger he was hoping to bring into play being totally out of position more than it being a bad ball.
How exactly did Tonge do anywhere near as much as Monty?
This situation came from Monty tracking back and doing the right backs job, beating 2 men and then looking around for anyone to help him out by becoming available. The whole midfield and defence were just stood about with their markers watching him so he had to turn back after being met by two Scunny players. There was absolutely nothing on, whilst he shouldn't have played it back into the danger area, there was absolutely no help whatsoever from his team mates and no outlet for him to play the ball into.

COMMENT: I have been lucky enough to see hundreds of games over the years and I have to say that the game on Saturday was the best ever!
It had everything... a disputable disallowed goal, two fantastic goals to give the Iron the lead in a match that they dominated for 70-plus minutes, two goals by the Blades to pull the game level, two sending-offs (Cliff Byrne seemed to be very harshly treated) and a wonderful last-minute goal by Matt Sparrow to seal a magnificent victory in what was a superb team performance.

We are a club and more specifically a team in transition. As I said the other week, it will take time for the transformation from 'direct' to 'possession' football to take place. Painful process is change, especially when you have to take a step back to be able to take the two forward. Doesn't help when you've seen it all before, either!!

monty has played some decent balls but not gets credit. typical united fans though at the end of the day, player does something good, its overlooked, 2 bad balls and hes slated to hell.

I'd agree with all of that and until we get better players in than what we have we have to get behind them.
Slagging him/them off constantly at matches and on forums will not get us anywhere.
We all want better players but we don't always get what we want.

I agree, but it's just natural with Monty now, he's took stick for years. I am a fan but sometimes you recognise him do mistakes quicker than with other big named players. I think people forget that he's now our longest serving player along with Tongey, yet Tongey doesn't get as much stick as Monty does. Just let's give him support might give him confidence, can't be nice having your own fans slating him, i admit i do sometimes but we can only support him.

The challenge for the Manager is to get the best out of the players he's got. To find a way to make it work. If Monty can't pass, make sure there's always someone 5 yards off him cause you know he will win the ball. Now was that hard?

i only had one,well a half.Iwas hungover from the night before wasnt drinking on the train ui had been throwingup allmorning got to pub had a pint of coke felt ok had half a pint threw up again fantastic.
