I get it wasn't great to watch, but I think some 'fans' would struggle to compliment us if it was 90mins of highlight reels. I sometimes wonder if that's why certain fans constantly moan, cos they can't separate 90mins from watching highlights where you only see the good stuff. Uncultured if you ask me.

Gd was gone a long time ago, but if we match them for points, they have to.come to lane and we win that then we go back top.

Exactly, for all their quality up front, Leeds have scored 0 goals in 2 games against Burnley, who themselves have scored 1 goal against Leeds in 2 games.

Until we play Leeds (and Burnley later on in April), we just have to do our job without worrying about them.

Before it all goes silly and out of hand like it seems to on here when people have differences of opinion.

For the record … our points total this year is 10/10 our resilience, never say die attitude etc is 10/10

But the football is no higher than a 5/10

If we have any designs on going up … and competing resilience, effort, hard work is just not good enough anymore and that’s all we are going to get if we stick with they Warnock, Bassett and wilder type managers.

Yes I’m a blades fan but I want to see us progressing as a club and at the minute … apart from new ownership I see no progress on the pitch and very little off the pitch.

The right noises are coming from the new owners and I hope they lead us in to a bright new future when we catch up with all the top top clubs who are doing things much better than us from top to bottom

To not be able to have pride in your team after it has fought tooth and nail to be in contention through a tough winter where the squad has been threadbare and now where new players are being integrated
Is a sad fucking state of affairs and someof the posters on here today ( and most days to be fair) should hang their heads in shame and have a good long think about what they are getting out of supporting Sheffield united ( although I'm not convinced a lot of them do) and how they portray themselves

Exactly, for all their quality up front, Leeds have scored 0 goals in 2 games against Burnley, who themselves have scored 1 goal against Leeds in 2 games.

Until we play Leeds (and Burnley later on in April), we just have to do our job without worrying about them.

Don't think anyone will moan come end of season of we finish in top 2 tbh, even more funnier if we shithoused our way up, the salty comments from everyone would be a sight to behold.

We were always going to struggle with creativity today. None of those 5 are really ‘creative’ midfielders.
Solid, a little boring but 3 points away from him.

Clearly that's the perfect thing, but we have only judt started getting players back from long injuries and new players bedding in.

Can't expect us to go out and win 5-0 every game. When we scored what 3 only once this season.

Being entertaining doesn't always work - look at Sunderland drawing at home to Plymouth, bet they would have took a shit boring 1-0 instead.

Agree with all that except “no Gilchrist” - he’s had a long poor run of games and we needed an upgrade. Clarke instantly looked better (he also looked like Gilchrist’s twin from a distance ) ans gave us far more attacking threat. Thers’s been some talk on here about inverted wingers which aren’t providing early balls for Moore and now Cannon. If we have an attacking, overlapping fullback on each side getting to the byeline and play with inverted wingers still (although WTF was Wilder thinking of playing BBD on the right….), you get the best of both worlds

lets give them new lads at least 45 minutes to settle in
leeds laboured to a 1-0 win at Derby a month ago
never hear 1 leeds fan moan after a win


they have the upper hand in confidence down to our morose negative fans

Scrappy game. Derby were poor but combative. We didn't create very much and looked misjointed. Not suprising given the amount of changes we've had to make. 3 points away is always good though.

Cooper - 6 - Very little to do but looked comfortable.
Burrows - 5.5 - Not one of his better games. Little going forward and kept drifting inside when pushed further up.
Robbo - 6 - Solid game. Seemed to win most things.
Anel - 6 - Gets caught wrestling/shirt pulling too often but had a solid game.
Clarke - 6 - Decent debut considering he's only just come in the building. A bit more forward thinking. One good cut back. Good late tackle.
Souza - 5.5 - Good to have him back. Thought he was a bit off the pace, which isn't surprising.
Choudhury - 6 - Solid debut. Got stuck in.
O'Hare - 4.5 - He had a bit of a mare. Lots of loose passes.
Brewster - 5 - Not really sure why he starts and then doesn't play as a two upfront. He put a shift in but had an embarrassing shot and also should have done better with the cutback.
BBD - 5.5 - Got the goal but thought he was largely anonymous. Had one break when I just wanted him to drive at the defender but just slowed it down.
Canon - 4.5 - Again, largely anonymous but got little service.

Subs:

Campbell - 5.5 - Came on and made a few runs but I wanted a bit more from him
JRS - 4.5 - Again, largely anonymous.
McCallum - 6 - Kid can sure jump! Looked lively when he came on.
Peck - 5 - As did Peck. Had one chance over the top he should have done better with.

Wilder - 6 - Good reaction to the Hull defeat but we looked sloppy and once again there didn't seem much of a plan. Its a good away win though.

It feels like we are in a bit of a re set period to me. New players coming in and injured players getting back up to speed.

I don't expect vintage performances for the time being, so it's just about getting results, keeping up with Leeds and ahead of Burnley. Job done today on all counts.

Once everyone is fully fit and settled in, I expect us to finish the season strongly.

Good win.

Not the best performance but didn’t feel we were having to dig it out, in part because Derby were so poor.

Choudhury and Clarke looked to be very welcome additions on their debuts and great to see that bit of class from Cannon and Ben to win the game.
