Sorry reediting this. The layout doesn't work

Don't like the look of Barnsley H for us.
Boro could be drawn into this. There is always a late slider. We seem to have our fighting trousers on now.
Billy Sharp to send Boro down on the last day??

If you think Boro are in it, then Derby are too!

Palace's home games will keep them up. I'm afraid we will have to pull some real surprises out of the bag to pull this one off :-(

Guys, you might want to take a look at Coventry. They've only won one league game this year, and that was against Palace. They are currently 9 points ahead of us, granted... but they've got some tough games coming up, and if they don't start winning, they're quickly going to find themselves down in the same mess as us.

if Palace score more jammy goals like last night then they will be staying up!! Just seen it on SSN.

It's still going to take a fantastic run (promotion form) to get us out of it and I dont expect that will happen despite a very pleasing win last night.....however.....stranger things have happened in football and after beating strong opposition United might fancy their chances against Watford and Leeds. A couple of victories there and the picture could look very different.

I'm refusing to build my hopes up because our form prior to last night doesn't tell lies and we've given ourselves a mountain to climb. It's very much one game at a time now and if they can get a couple more wins quickly, then I might just start to believe we have a chance.

It'd be just our luck if we get relegated because Scunthorpe manage to beat themselves on the last day of the season!

Derby are the worst side in the division ,they should be our target I think.

'Billy Sharp to send Boro down on the last day??'

Billy won't be saving us - he's out for the rest of the season after further injury last night.

Going to be a big ask to get us out of this one........

Notice that you have Scunthorpe playing Scunthorpe on the last day of theseason - big 'six pointer' that...!!!!

Scunthorpe will survive on the last day by comfortably beating themselves at home !!

I promised myself about 2200 last night that I wouldn't start like this, but you've got to wonder what that game did to the lads. They've been working hard and playing pretty well for a while, but always denied by bad luck/things not falling right. A win like that (especially a comeback) could well inspire belief that they had it in them all along, and could really end up bringing more points our way.

However, there's still that little bit of me that's always been a Blade that's trying hard to remind me how things usually turn out.

My honest view of the players is that there is some ability there and they've worked very hard physically in recent weeks without being mentally right. I dont think they're bursting with talent but they are a group of competent footballers for the most part who have simply got stuck in a rut and haven't had the rub of the green.

I think if they had got their heads right at some point they would have accumulated enough points to have us in a better position right now (with our fate in our hands) but because they have been playing so poorly over the course of the season, they have now given themselves a bite bigger than they can chew.

They'll keep at it til the bitter end, I know they will because as a collective they have an excellent attitude (and hopefully now some belief) but after our disastrous February I think it will be a bridge too far.

i dont' know how many times i'll have to say this but we support the most contrary team in the league.. we'll win the ones we don't expect to and lost the ones we do.. i think we'll go on a mega run but bottle it on the last day in true blades style

and they did us at home ;)

That was comfortably one of the most mind-numbingly boring games I've ever watched. Including 0-0s against Gillingham ("Real Madrid wouldn't have beaten them today") and Scunthorpe at home in past seasons.

However, I feel my faith is being restored...ever the optimist!

They beat us four nil. We played really good football they had 4 chances and put all 4 away.

This season, yes. I meant the game in 2008/09 when they had a player sent off after 10 minutes.

The current bottom three look very, very likely to be the bottom three that go down.
Palace's home form is tremendous, they've plenty more winnable home games and have players who can over-balance and accidentally score goals with unintended backheels.
The others have already got 9 or 10 points on the bottom three.
United would have to start accumulating points themselves first and foremost and it's likely to be down to earth with a bump on Saturday.

Saturday is a golden opportunity to gain ground on Scunthorpe and Crystal Palace.

Scunthorpe are terrible at home and they've got Leicester so will probably lose. Palace are abysmal away from home and are at QPR so will probably lose.

We just need to make sure we don't lose against Watford and undo all last nights good work.

Losing to derby is the single reason we wont stay up this year.

Derby's last 10 fixtures:

H Swansea
A Palace
A Cardiff
H Coventry
H Leeds
A QPR
H Burnley
A Norwich
H Bristol
A Reading

Now, all we had to do was draw against derby and we would be 5 points behind, with those fixtures remaining. i would have heavily fancied us. However, i fear that 8 points is just that bit too much.
