Just wait until Cannon scores the winner at Wembley in May.
We slated Brewster massively and we got the goal we wanted at Hillsborough. Seems reasonable then that if we slate Cannon enough we could get the goal we want at Wembley. I'm certainly willing to do my bit in this process.

I haven't seen anywhere near enough of Cannon yet to make any sort of solid judgement on him.

That's why I think starting a thread to slag him off after 11 games (most as a substitute) is pathetic.
Youve hit the nail right on the head with that and disseminated the problem into one sentence.

We've paid £10m on someone we haven't seen anywhere near enough of.

For £10m I'd want a player who's the first name on the team sheet not a bit part substitute.

Couldnt care less about the player, whether it's Cannon, Ball, Little or Large - the fact we spunked £10m on someone who can't get into the starting XI is a ridiculous thing to do. Especially as our defence has more holes than a team bag....

Improved stats on Cannon watch (unless you expect goals or assists from a striker)

In 12 appearances our form whilst Cannon is on the pitch is W3 D6 L3 our actual form in those games is W7 D0 L5
In the 511 minutes Cannon has been on the pitch we've collectively scored 5 goals. That's approx 1 goal per 102 minutes.
In that same time period we have collectively conceded 9 goals. Tom Cannon himself has contributed 0 goals and 1 assist.

I genuinely can't believe how bad Cannon is, he looks slow, weak and disinterested
One offers much more, but imagine Wilder leaving his 10 million statement striker out of the squad.

Campbell coming on in 84th minute had more touches than Cannon whole 1st half.

for gods sake give the man a break on his back all the time how can he score if you dont like him stop slating tom cannon he will come good,AARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ffs hes our blades striker back him,FFS

No minutes for Cannon in our 2-0 win over Cardiff.

I'll get round to analysing our form in games he makes no appearance in (since he signed) at some point as that was omitted in the original post.

Probably a little unfair, how many missed chances has he?

Sorry for disagreeing, and you don't need to do the stats, but we have created nothing over the season for the strikers, remember when we used to laugh that mcgoldrick needed 3 chances to get his sights set, we don't create anywhere near enough for the strikers now, funny how they all seem to not score here at united..

A decent team creates three to four chances each game for the forwards, I haven't seen that for Cannon, none of us have ever uttered the words "how's he missed that" have we, because we've created nothing for him.

PS: I'd rather have bought a defender with the money.. nothing against the lad..

Burrows the full back has netted 5. Even Brewster has bagged 4 this season which is colossal for him. Brereton Diaz signed in the same transfer window as Cannon and has managed 4 already (+3 assists).

If everyone else was failing to score you'd gave a point but the rest are all chipping in.

It’s not all about others creating chances. He’s got to make his own as well, and he doesn’t. He’d rather a weak and risky lay off than holding it. Our second goal came from a competent striker getting a half chance by using his body and his weight to rob a defender. I don’t see that in Cannon’s game or armoury.

Cannon’s not the issue in slightest took that goal well today probably only one in squad that could’ve. Robinson and Anel are honking I’m sorry 😔 can’t take it anymore

Nice to see him break his duck today. Quality finish!

In 13 appearances our form whilst Cannon is on the pitch is W3 D6 L4 our actual form in those games is W7 D0 L6

In the 571 minutes Cannon has been on the pitch we've collectively scored 6 goals. That's approx 1 goal per 95 minutes.

In that same time period we have collectively conceded 11 goals. Tom Cannon himself has contributed 1 goal and 1 assist.

In 14 appearances our form whilst Cannon is on the pitch is W4 D6 L4 our actual form in those games is W8 D0 L6

In the 606 minutes Cannon has been on the pitch we've collectively scored 7 goals. That's approx 1 goal per 87 minutes.

In that same time period we have collectively conceded 11 goals. Tom Cannon himself has contributed 1 goal and 1 assist.

He's a player that scores goals from beating high lines (no one plays high lines against us) or getting on the end of crosses (we don't cross the ball).

Honestly against Blackburn I'd play Cannon with Campbell as a 10, the lad hasn't really had a chance to shine yet , my Leicester mate says we've bought their vardy replacement if it wasn't for ffp and apparently the lad pushing it we wouldn't have got him , he's told me last night that there are rumours the souttar deal is done despite relegation and they're loosing coady

Aye
So
Utilising your ‘analysis’ (sic) & ‘statistics’ Cooper must be equally (even more) culpable / useless ?

Wouldn't surprise me if Leicester looking to sell quite a few players in the summer.

RVN probably won't be there next season so they'll have to pay him off, plus a few of their higher earners will still be at the club, like Pereira and Ndidi, even if Vardy leaving will free up his high wages.

I imagine Choudhury, Faes and Bednarek will be on biggish wages as well, given how long each of them have been there, same with Ayew and Skipp who were signed from PL clubs last summer.

Hopefully the news about the Souttar deal is true, whether he'll be fit enough to start the season remains to be seen though.

Aye
About as weird as correlating Cannon’s presence on the field with ‘results’

You may have missed it, but from a rough starting point in the original post our scoring rate, conceding rate and win rate with him on the pitch is going in the right direction. Its not "good" but it is improving.

And I’d hazard a guess that Campbell’s ‘statistics’ are going in the opposite direction ?

At what juncture do you intend to start a parallel (bollocks) thread advocating that (basically) if you see Campbell coming on, you can just walk out of the ground at that moment and probably be glad you did given that his appearance off the bench knocks the confidence of the entire outfield XI to a degree where they turn into shadows of their former selves and each time he comes on..we produce next to NOTHING .

Equally:- > 14% of goals conceded by Burnley at Turf Moor have been scored by ….. Tom Cannon.
This increases to 100 % when factoring in other variables including games played on a bank holiday Monday when I drank Guinness inThe Royal Dyche having had a dump on a train (in the lavatory) between Dewsbury & Todmorden, but I guess “you may have missed that”? (fortunately)
