But if we can't even beat Rotherham over 180 mins then how the fuck are we meant to play Premier League football?
Come on you know what’s silly.

If Arsenal can’t score against and actually lose 1-0 to bottom of the table Everton then how can they hope to play in the Champions League next season?

One off results don’t mean a thing. We outclassed Burnley in the 2nd half scoring 5.

However it’s the league table that shows how good a team really is.

Oh yeah I forgot they won 1-0

Definitely means we've had all the luck and they haven't then :)

Must be why dog shit Sheffield United managed to scrape past them at home.

Do you think if Rotherham had gifted us such a goal early on, we'd have gone on to do nothing else?

We would have finished 1-0 or 1-1.

We have been average for weeks now. Not sure if it’s a management issue or a reality check.
We are very good when we keep the ball down and press. More often than not, we succumb to the opposition and hoof it aimlessly long.
Billy looks shit because we create very little in the box.
Has hecky bottled it and told them to try and keep it tight and nick a goal?
Of course we are all delighted that we are second by down distance but fiuck me, we are a hard watch at the moment.

Yep, those 20 points from the last 8 has been terrible form
Oh man

Yeah it’s wonderful, brilliant and great. Since Christmas things don’t seem right.

I hope I’m wrong but like I’ve said above if we don’t buck up our ideas we could lose such a gap we fully deserved to have.

What a shite match Rotherham ifollow commentary Jesus they thought it was a great game ffs what a bag of shite ,if we don't play it on the deck we look as crap as them ,Berg,Osborne, wtf, and Billy's more bothered about his hair looking ok ,he's DONE

If we were midtable and chasing a place in the POs , you might see that as a hard fought away draw.
But we are clear second in the league and on course for autos , so naturally the judgement is coloured by expectations.
That was a truly insipid performance with hardly any creativity - we seemed to be hitting long balls from the back which is embarrassing for a supposedly high quality team.
Osborn is useless on the ball and our whole midfield never imposed themselves on the game.
When we gained possession , we looked like we had no plan of how to go forward , then if we did end up in a forward position , the final ball was always the wrong one and/or the shooting was off target.
We are "miles" behind Burnley and have dropped 2 points to the chasing pack today.
Meanwhile Hecky fails to react when we playing poorly and doesn't make changes early enough for us to try and get a grip.
It's as though complacency has been allowed to creep in.
Not quite sure what can be done to change us back into a team who can take control and dominate games.
Our "more difficult" run of games starts soon , we need to up our game.

It's typical United attitude, 2nd is good, got some breathing room, stay 2nd regardless, so defend stoutly, defend aggressively, give nowt away, and do as little as possible in all other areas and hope a result falls in your lap.

Burnley attitude, "Norwich, good team, on good form, DON'T GIVE A FUCK, we're winning this Championship and fuck everybody.
Just like they did with us!

Whilst I'd like us to get back to confidently forcing the issue and look to blow sides away...

"Miles behind" = 7 points
"Chasing pack" = 13 points

I'm not sure, whatever happens off the pitch, it's quite time to panic yet.

Yep, and it may get a little tighter today if Boro continue to do what they have been doing?

Even if Boro win we will have gained more points than them over the last 3. As we will have over every other team directly below us

Most Boro can get is 6 points from 3
Most Watford can is 4
Most Luton can is 6
Norwich got 6
WBA got 6

We got 7

Get the disappointment but we've actually increased our lead in recent weeks

I appreciate the number of points involved but we did look poor today

Rotherham tactics are so anti football, whoever gets the ball just

And bring 4/5 new players in during the window.
Today proved again we really needed to bring in in a striker.
I've thought it for several weeks due to Uniteds inability or refusal to control a game and take part in any attacking sense, that we won't just saunter into automatic promotion regardless of how far ahead we are.

It will be a drama, it always is, and it starts with club attitude,
"ahhh well we're second, that'll be orreight"

Any other club second to Burnley would only have eyes on Burnley, no one else.

We've absolutely got our eyes on second place ONLY, and protecting second place is all we are trying to do.

It won't work, at least not as comfortably as it should be

Just like they did with us!
I don't know how much longer you can keep waffling on about that result.

Truth is we haven't played well since

Truth is Burnley haven't lost since

Truth is Burnley were not as bad as the result suggested

Truth is we weren't as good as the result suggested, it was just one of those days.

Truth is if we'd have got 3-2 up in that game nowadays we'd have stopped playing, and lost it 4-3

This sums it up for me - we are so fkin hard to watch

Truth is, you can hardly ever bring yourself, to find anything good that is Sheffield United. All your truths are actually opinions. I suspect if Burnley had beaten us 5-2, you may have been less forgiving on The Blades. Just my opinion. Up the Blades

A factor that people don't seem to realise is due to our 12 point
Being average, showing mid table form, means we are almost certain to achieve promotion.

Also although we've been average we've deserved to win all those games and been slightly the better team overall.
The weird thing is we seem to alter our standard based on the opposition.

When was the last time we "stopped playing" and lost a game from being up? Genuine question because "nowadays" we seem quite capable of holding a lead bar Wrexham once we do score.

We would lose if we stop playing when 1up against Burnley, Boro, Watford, Luton, Norwich etc

It's getting to the point where I'm hoping we concede in the first minute to fucking wake us up
