It's typical United attitude, 2nd is good, got some breathing room, stay 2nd regardless, so defend stoutly, defend aggressively, give nowt away, and do as little as possible in all other areas and hope a result falls in your lap.

Burnley attitude, "Norwich, good team, on good form, DON'T GIVE A FUCK, we're winning this Championship and fuck everybody.

Not terrible. At an average of 2 points per game after 29 games we're still averaging on ppg above 8 out of the last 10 promoted teams.

Bogle was a bit selfish, but got himself in good positions, Berge's finishing was a bit off too, but we still looked solid.

bit disappointing. we played much better in 2nd half. but we have been very poor in front of goal. for all the attacking play never tested the GK. thats cost us today, anel 6yd header, Berge couldnt get out of his feet 12yds out. bogle's 2 or 3 shots over the crossbar. you cant miss those & expect to win a game

really we should be pleased with the point because Wes Foderingham kept us in that game towards end of the 1st half

But if we can't even beat Rotherham over 180 mins then how the fuck are we meant to play Premier League football?

I don’t think it works on individual games, otherwise we could just show the Premier League the video of the second half at home to Burnley, and see if they let us have the title.

Agreed. We were ‘ok’, but with better decision making would (and should) have nicked it.
Pretty much it. The positive though is that we play like that a lot and usually end up nicking a game by doing the right things in the right moments.

Take a point from them and crack on.

Solid-ish performance, lots of 6/10’s, no coincidence that Osborn plays and we look a bit ‘meh’ in midfield.

Ili didn’t bother taking the piss today so we didn’t score, that was probably the difference over the last few games.

Ended up being a game of who could play more direct long balls.

Thought our midfield (including Sander) was slightly better today on winning 2nd balls / loose balls

But from there our decision making was REALLY poor and seemed to result it just booting it upfield

A point away from home is fine for now ... as long as taking maximum points at home, otherwise could end up looking over a shoulder come last few games of the season.

let’s hope the new bloke has got some serious money cos if we do go up we’re gonna need some serious spending to even think about staying up

Bettis was there today. It would be nice if he could make an appearance in front of the press and help Hecky out with the difficult questions

Poor that from the management team, we looked like we went for the draw/trying to nick a win, not good enough in 2nd place with WBA & Boro on the form that they are on (and they are the real danger not Norwich or Watford).

Just thinking of how well Burnley are doing and then look at us. We are dog shite most matches so our wins are mostly lucky.
Have we bang average players, or is our manager just not good enough?

Thank god we kept Ndyie though he’s gonna be marked out of most games so it’s gonna be a tough run to the end.

I just wish and hope we get an owner with money and in with the modern game.

Unlike Burnley’s well worked first goal that didn’t have a hint of luck on their part 🤣

Have you seen the league table?!

Scrappy, tough game against a team who has taken points off Watford and us now twice, Boro, Luton, Milwall, Blackburn etc.

That was always going to be a tough game. Not helped by the off-field events. they outfought us first half although it was fairly even and we were a bit better in the second. We hardly created anything though and they had the best chances. Still, a point and a clean sheet is not the worst result for us.

Losing Doyle before the game was a shame but I can see why he opted for Osborn ahead of McAtee. I remember McAtee versus Luton and this was not the game for him. Had much more freedom when he came on against a tiring team. Whilst Osborn was probably our worst player we are very light in that area.

Wes - 7 - Solid. Good positioning for their best chances and came out sharply first half to block when they were through.
Lowe - 5.5 - Hardly saw anything of him going forward and lost a fair few battles defensively.
Robbo - 6 - Solid but slow at times and lost his man first half and gave him a free header. Heart in mouth time when he was on the ball near the end.
Egan - 6 - Mixed. I though Hugill won the battle with him first half and pulled him out of position. Kept at it and got more into the game.
Anel - 6 - Got done badly by his player, the second time leading to a yellow card for a pull, and he continues to look a bit rash and clumsy. Does some really good things and then does things badly. Got forward well and caused a threat but lingers far too much when we lose the ball. Got stupidly involved with Hugill when on a yellow.
Bogle - 5.5 - Poor defensively. I thought he struggled all day. One of our main threats going forward but made the wrong decision every single time. He's been poor since he's had the new haircut. Shave it off Jayden!
Osborn - 5 - Can see why he started and whilst he was nowhere near strong enough on the ball his energy and tenacity helped in midfield.
Norwood - 6 - Poor first half. He looked half asleep and was sloppy/caught on the ball several times. Got better as the game went on and more involved and stuck in. Hollywood passing not working again today.
Berge - 6 - Was in and out. Did some really impressive things going forward and more of an all-round game but lacks determination to get to a ball first or compete in a tackle.
Ndiaye - 5.5 - Had a poor one for him today. Linked up play well a few times but dallied a bit too much and not as direct as we usually expect from him.
McBurnie - 5 - Poor game from him. He didn't get his body to the ball and kept being outmuscled and outfought. Had little to feed off, but apart from some nice link up play coming short not his day.

Subs:

McAtee - 6 - Did well when he came on going forward. Direct and kept looking for the ball. Defensively, not so much.
Sharp - 4 - Thought he was poor when he came on. Made a load of bad decisions.

Hecky - 6 - People will complain but he picked probably the right team with the players he has fit but we were largely neutralised by Rotherham. Not sure we had much else on the bench who could change the game in our favour.

Rotherham - Did well against us. Set up to neutralise us and win every individual battle and they largely did apart from a couple of spells first half. Less effective in the second but their squad depth looks quite weak.

Poor first half. Never really got any control of the game. Norwood looks half asleep and our midfield needs to get a foot on the ball. In fairness, fairly poor up to as well. Defensively mixed and they had a free header at goal. Egan getting involved in a battle with Hugil and leaving spaces. Need to be better second half. We need to fight to get on the ball. On the few occasions we have we looked dangerous. Rotherham are a good, well organised and combinative team. They're stifling a lot of our game, so deserve credit.
Rotherham tactics are so anti football, whoever gets the ball just

And bring 4/5 new players in during the window.
Today proved again we really needed to bring in in a striker.

Staying up for Rotherham would be a huge achievement and whilst it's not nice to watch you have to respect how they're doing. Lost their two best midfielders and with several new players coming in.
