Very true. Some of my grunter mates have even posted on facebook. Shows how much respect he commanded from everyoneThere are not many footballers these days that would have got a reaction to this in their passing. It proves how much a legend this guy was and how highly he was thought of in the world of football
I must admit, I welled up watching the Swansea/Villa minutes silence/applause earlier.Just watched the Sky News report on Gary's death. Don't mind admitting I wept like it was the death of a relative. RIP Speedo. My thoughts are with your family.
Don't know what the story is yet but I'm reading on another forum that theres something more to this, and the people that have mentioned it don't wish to share it. Not sure what to make of that. One of the guys that has mentioned it is very trustworthy and is actually a physio for a football club.
The S*n are of course denying it but it seems they may have been investigating his private life?As expected there's been an awful lot of rumours flying around today. The sun have denied they were investigating his private life.
I think we can be proud that not only did he play for us but he then opted to stay with us as a coach and then a manager.Whatever the reason, the reaction from people - fans & players alike speaks volumes for him as a person. He may not have set the world on fire during his time as our manager but I think we were lucky to have such a respected professional at the club.
