How would you get rid of the three being kept? You cannot just kick them out.
It not like they would be homeless.

Still under contract unfortunatelyIs Shackelton secretly giving favours.
Fotmob, Transfermarkt, Soccerbase, Wikipedia, WhoScored, Premierleague.com, OptaAnalyst are among the sites who's got it wrong then.
Peck wont be and most likely Hamer gone even Ohare and the rest are shytethis
Getting rid of those 3 means paying them off to go.
New rules or not it wouldn’t have made sense having a top end high earner who can only work 2 3rds of his shiftTo be fair to Danny Hall, a U-turn on Riedewald seems very possible considering the SCR rules were only agreed by clubs last week. As I commented above, those rules will significantly affect the shape of this summer for us, meaning we need to make huge cuts to the wage bill (something like halving it, depending on the level of income we can achieve from player sales). We won't be able to make those kind of savings just by releasing Tom Davies, Mee and Ings. We'll also have to move out a lot of players who we would rather have kept. We don't know yet who we'll actually be able to sell, or for how much.
So even if we had been planning to take up the option on Jairo before last week, backing away from committing to his wages for another year would now make financial sense under the new rules.
Change the PIN code on the players entrance door.
Desperate timesBeen offered a 1 year extension.
Due to expire next summer (2027) unless he is long term I can’t see us paying him up unless we are at max of squad level and look to promote a development kid insteadStill under contract unfortunately
Word is if his injury problems persist we'll look at paying him up
The promotion ship has well and truly sailed, it’s about a 2 pronged approach, accept we are a mid-table Championship side or at least have the ambition to be there as didn’t achieve it 25/26. Look to the future about who we 1) Replace Wilder with next summer and 2) Who’s next into the fold from the development squad into the 1st team. We have the potential to hit our target if we can sort out the CB pairing and the return of McCallum will help.Would have been good to keep around, but have no idea what the wage demands were and dare I say it, who we have lined up
Not the end of the world him leaving really, but then you look at the players on the longest contracts - Tanganga, Chong, McGuiness, Cannon, Matos & Burrows and think oh f*ck.
I’m not sure it matters who the manager is this season, it’s unlikely they’d be able to recruit well enough to turn this around and have us pushing promotion. I’m just hoping Wilder doesn’t add more dross to the group.
Jairo was very much a part of a very average team (when he managed to be fit enough to pull on the shirt). Shows how abject we are when losing such an average player has half the message board melting down.
That list of retained players over the age is 24 is fucking shocking, oh how the mighty fall. If we start next season with that shower of shit, we'll be no better than last season, just slower and any confidence that we're heading in a good direction will be straight down the shitter.
Hopefully I'm missing something and there's a lot more movement planned in the background but after Wilders comments about lots of ins and outs, that's beyond disappointing.

CW has no record whatsoever of signing players upon which we can turn a profit on the fee.this is just the first step, to be fair to him he’s gotten rid of everyone he can right now and everyone we’d want out that we can get out right now.
Hopefully the next ones out are Matos, McGuinness, Chong and Tangaga. Sell them for what we got them for, or get rid of them as part of a deal that brings better players in.
Will be an interesting rebuild on the cheap.
Realistically we’ll be mid table, just hope he brings in some actual young assets that can be sold on for a profit in the future.
yeah but with the new wages rules EFL have imposed his current 25k a week is not sustainable, we cant do 1.2m a year wages unless we get more investmentDo you mean Jairo??
If so do you actually read and think about what you're about to post before posting?
He was our player. He wouldn't have cost anything to retain for next season bar his wages.
so how did we get in the prem for 2019 ,we didnt spend 100s of millionsJairo was very much a part of a very average team (when he managed to be fit enough to pull on the shirt). Shows how abject we are when losing such an average player has half the message board melting down.

True, but still being paid by us.It not like they would be homeless.
* excluding Leonard, Ndiaye, Ramsdale, Peck (and O'Connell).CW has no record whatsoever of signing players upon which we can turn a profit on the fee.
He is completely the wrong manager for the owners stated business model.
They are thick as mince.
I'll give you Leonard and Ramsdale. You can have Lee Evans too. However, blowing our entire 2020/21 budget on Ramsdale and Brewster rather than signing four established players on slightly higher wages was what led to our decline and that is entirely on Wilder. A sensible approach would have been to find a £5-10m goalkeeper, convince Danny Welbeck to sign on a free and use the £30m left over to sign a decent defender and midfielder to evolve the squad. Hindsight is wonderful, right?* excluding Leonard, Ndiaye, Ramsdale, Peck (and O'Connell).
Is a £5-10m goalkeeper PL level? Did the owner have any input in signing younger players with potential that have sell on value and lower wages?I'll give you Leonard and Ramsdale. My answer was to a "none whatsoever" claim and not a review of the 21/22 season.I'll give you Leonard and Ramsdale. You can have Lee Evans too. On the others: Wilder had absolutely nothing to do with Ndiaye who didn't make a single appearance under him. Peck was signed by the development team and was played in desperation as a result of Souza and Arblaster getting injured. It says as much about Peck as anyone else that he's now a £15m footballer - he took the circumstantial chance he was given.
O'Connell would have been a superstar. That injury, coupled with the myopic approach to the transfer window (and continuing to rely on Oli Norwood when it was obvious his race was run) led to us having the worst ever (at that stage) start to a Premier League season.
*accept for signing him after a trial and having him training with the first team for months.Wilder had absolutely nothing to do with Ndiaye
He wanted to sell him to Barnsley and froze him out until he signed a contract.*accept for signing him after a trial and having him training with the first team for months.
If the American owners could just find the funds to establish a new Turkish side that would be quite handy or if the Prince fancies dabbling in Blades World again...I think we can all agree the main positive form today is that we managed to retain the talents of Ukaki, Nwanchukwu and Zatterstrom…

I think it is a relatively untapped market but we have to really approach things like that with purpose, the Blades World idea didn't really work as there wasn't really any long term strategy of how to bring players into our first team. I think just one club is a good idea to give players mens first team football against different types of opponents but just randomly buying a few clubs dotted about hasn't worked twiceIf the American owners could just find the funds to establish a new Turkish side that would be quite handy or if the Prince fancies dabbling in Blades World again...
Grbic seems to have done well on his time over there (I say "well", I saw a post saying he was Man of the Match, past 2 games)
Nwanchukwu- 11 appearances- 1goal, 2 assists
Ukaki (ok, playing in Greece) - 16 appearances- 1 goal, 2 assists
Sorry, I didn't mean it as a serious suggestion! Just that we could probably field a pretty strong side in that league with our recent recruitsI think it is a relatively untapped market but we have to really approach things like that with purpose, the Blades World idea didn't really work as there wasn't really any long term strategy of how to bring players into our first team. Source? He wanted to sell him to Barnsley and froze him out until he signed a contract.
He also had Peck out of the door to Rotherham so he could sign Andre Dozell. Prince kiboshed it.

Prince Addullah’s interviews with Sheffield United Way and Ramble.Source?
I've seen this about mentioned about N'Diaye and it's not true regards it being with Wilder not wanting him.He wanted to sell him to Barnsley and froze him out until he signed a contract.
