How would you get rid of the three being kept? You cannot just kick them out.
It not like they would be homeless.

Still under contract unfortunatelyIs Shackelton secretly giving favours.
Fotmob, Transfermarkt, Soccerbase, Wikipedia, WhoScored, Premierleague.com, OptaAnalyst are among the sites who's got it wrong then.
Peck wont be and most likely Hamer gone even Ohare and the rest are shytethis
Getting rid of those 3 means paying them off to go.
New rules or not it wouldn’t have made sense having a top end high earner who can only work 2 3rds of his shiftTo be fair to Danny Hall, a U-turn on Riedewald seems very possible considering the SCR rules were only agreed by clubs last week. As I commented above, those rules will significantly affect the shape of this summer for us, meaning we need to make huge cuts to the wage bill (something like halving it, depending on the level of income we can achieve from player sales). We won't be able to make those kind of savings just by releasing Tom Davies, Mee and Ings. We'll also have to move out a lot of players who we would rather have kept. We don't know yet who we'll actually be able to sell, or for how much.
So even if we had been planning to take up the option on Jairo before last week, backing away from committing to his wages for another year would now make financial sense under the new rules.
Change the PIN code on the players entrance door.
Desperate timesBeen offered a 1 year extension.
Due to expire next summer (2027) unless he is long term I can’t see us paying him up unless we are at max of squad level and look to promote a development kid insteadStill under contract unfortunately
Word is if his injury problems persist we'll look at paying him up
The promotion ship has well and truly sailed, it’s about a 2 pronged approach, accept we are a mid-table Championship side or at least have the ambition to be there as didn’t achieve it 25/26. Look to the future about who we 1) Replace Wilder with next summer and 2) Who’s next into the fold from the development squad into the 1st team. We have the potential to hit our target if we can sort out the CB pairing and the return of McCallum will help.Would have been good to keep around, but have no idea what the wage demands were and dare I say it, who we have lined up
Not the end of the world him leaving really, but then you look at the players on the longest contracts - Tanganga, Chong, McGuiness, Cannon, Matos & Burrows and think oh f*ck.
I’m not sure it matters who the manager is this season, it’s unlikely they’d be able to recruit well enough to turn this around and have us pushing promotion. I’m just hoping Wilder doesn’t add more dross to the group.
