I'm guessing like most transfers we're paying the fee over the length of his contract over a maximum of three years, which I hadn't factored in.

Even if we had bought him for £15 then sold him for £22mil, in theory we've already paid £5 to Coventry, so we'd owe them £10mil, leaving us with £12mil in the pot. That should buy 2 or 3 quality players in the Championship.

But we'll still be getting money from Ndiaye and Berge in the same way, so payments from them should cover Hamer etc.
So if we sell Hamer Souza and Anel we'll have a nice steady income per month for a good few years?

Yeah except we have history here don't we....hence the 2pt deduction....we don't seem to have been all that good in matching incoming payments with outgoing under the Prince !!

I would suggest 75% of clubs have been in a situation similar to what we had last season, most get sorted before going over the edge as we did

If you want to send a clear message to the outside world that you’re getting your house in order ….

The retained and released list is communicated 9am Monday morning.

From first team right down to scholars signing pro etc.

If it’s not all decided we are just wasting days AGAIN that we simply don’t have

I know we never will, but I'd love to know the inner workings of United and how we're run and whether the cause for doom and gloom, and general mocking at how we're run, is merited.
