With 5 loans returning and 14 OOC, we clearly need to offer some new deals out.

(I think we have 14 contracted for next season)

Grbic
Curtis
Anel
Trusty
Robinson
Slimane
Davies
Souza
Hamer
Arblaster
Brooks
Osula
Brewster
Traore

Id say around half of them might leave/crap/injury prone..
If you were Anel , Hamer or Blaster and you looked at that list , you would take some persuading to stay 😔

There isn't any kind of goalie , defence or attack in that list.
Fuckinell that is just so inadequate.
And people think we're top six ?
There might be a hint of a midfield if you can hypnotise Hamer & Blaster.
In order to get them to stay , you'd have to promise them some serious recruitment or they're bound to say
"Fuck this shit - I'm off"

This is what 3 years in the Prem does to your squad ????
£360m and you're left with next to fuck all - must be the worst run club ever.

Based on Wes' attitude tonight, he's certainly off. No surprise I suppose.

The most important consideration is which league we play in next season. Few, if any regular starters have impressed at tier 1.

Wilder will need proven Championship senior players like Egan, Osborn, McB and JLT, to hold the side together.

We will end up with a few young starlets from EPL teams on loan. Our own academy will contribute.

A few OOC players with history, looking for a final payday. (Think Kieran Clark types)

I would love to keep Baldock, but he wants his final years, and international football at a top club. In his position, no one should blame him!

Any manager, including Wilder, would need at least two seasons to get it right, and that’s if all the new players work out.

We all know we can't influence it, but if the owner doesn't sell up very soon were fucked!

Except...except...they are under contract so if we want to keep them there's nothing they can do...and Arblaster signed his just weeks ago

I get the sentiment but it's good there's no keeper or defence as what we've had this season have been seriously shit.

In my view this is a serious opportunity to upgrade whilst clearing big contracts out the door. Maybe we can find a centre back who doesn't get pushed around like a rag doll? Maybe we can find another who can head a ball ? Maybe we can sign a left sided defender who doesn't get continually skinned? Maybe we can sign a keeper who gets off the floor when he jumps? Maybe we can find a striker who plays more than 20 games a season?

A midfield of Arblaster, Hamer and Brooks with a destroyer in there is a good starting place to rebuild.

Sad to see them go but the worst part for me is that the defence going (bar Lowe maybe) are probably pur best defenders!

Sad to see this. End of an area with (potentially) just Egan left.

Bash - absolute club legend in my opinion, absolute stalwart who ran his blood to water for the club. Baldock and Norwood were absolute quality in the day too. I’d possibly have liked to have seen Baldock extended too. But wages/age and injuries are a factor. Norwoods possibly the best midfielder I’ve seen for us in recent times. When in his peak he were untouchable and some of the passes he made were out of this world.

I'd agree with all of those, the one i'd have liked to see retained was Baldock, but i think with the injuries and his lack of game time, it's probably a good time for him to move on.

All of those, bar Lowe have been a huge part of the success of the club, Basham, Baldock and Norwood in particular, but it's Baldock that i think is the one i'm saddest to see leave as i think he's still got more to give. I fully expect him to do that in Greece and good luck to him.

Lowe probably hasn't fulfilled his potential, never seemed quite good enough when it mattered, but still enjoyed a few decent years with us.

Good luck to them all and thank you !
